Question about muffler delete

Hey so I recently went to the mechanic and inquired about a muffler delete, and they said they could do it easily but I had to find out what the device on my pipe was. After some research in the general forums and asking around I found out it was an actuator for the valve in the pipe. So now my question is, is there any tutorial on disconnecting the actuator and are there any precautions I should take before doing it? Are there any precautions I should take after if I'm disconnecting it for the sole purpose of cutting everything past the resonator off and just putting piping straight through?

Also for those of you who have done muffler deletes, how bad is the drone? I was told the drone wouldn't be too unbearable with a muff delete, and that only when the resonator was removed would it be too loud.

Before doing a muffler delete, I recommend you find a local car with the same mod and drive it for couple minutes
