Are you kidding me? The design hasn't changed in 9 effing years now! Why would anyone still buy this? Most boring design brand ever! They just upsized the A3's style changes :/ Just buy a new skoda RS and you get a copy of the previous gen Audi A4 3.0 for 35k lol..
The interior looks nice in the renders but I'm waiting to see it in real life.. Everyone said great things about the current version but imho it looked really bland and boring.. I also worry that the nav possibility in the cluster is distracting as hell.. It takes seconds to focus and looking straight down you are essentially blind instead of still having your peripheral vision when looking at the center dash screen. Very unimpressed |

Interior seems impressive. Exterior is a big Meh.

Looks like it might be difficult to work Audi's MMI controller with it being in front of the shifter.

I like the more angular exterior styling of the 3-series, EXCEPT for the front end. There are way too many underdeveloped, contrasting elements with it. Seems like BMW didn't know how to tie it together with the rest of the car. Audi's front-end is so much cleaner and consistent with the rest of its design.
As far as interior goes, I think Audi's is just a tad bit more refined than BMW's. Both are amazing though.

The digital dashboard looks cool but BMW wins everything else IMO

Overall pretty boring. It looks like an LCI but this is an all new platform LOL. Hopefully out of these new models we at least get BMW to step up their game in the G series interior.
Of course if they have managed to dial out the Audi understeer and the car handles well then BMW will have cause to sweat a bit.

If that is the case then I'll be in line despite the loss of the V8. I anxiously waited for the current RS4 Avant to come over too but that never happened, so I don't have much faith that the next gen will come over here in an Avant format. I do believe that a sedan version will come though.

Not liking any of the face lifted Audi lights. I loved the previous 4, outgoing 5, and all the R8's compared to the new ones.
Would love to see these cars in person |

It's Mercedes!
Both products have gone conservative in design. The real leap in the segment has come from Mercedes and Alfa in my view.
BMW really needs to find a more daring design direction if it is going to remain the segment leader in this critical market. Dynamically the cars are still there and I would question anyone who prefers the wooden Audi or sloppy handling Benz over a BMW RWD or Xdrive systems. |

Slight edge to the Audi interior, otherwise the Bimmer looks better all around, both sedan and wagon.

Audi phoned-in the exterior! What a bland update.
The Audi virtual cockpit (digital instrument cluster) looks amazing though! Wish BMW would offer something similar, as now the F3x looks ancient in comparison. Not a fan of the massive vents or the new nav screen -- looks tacked on just like the new C Class. BMW integrates this SO much better than the other manufacturers. |
