Trouble posting photo for Contest

Took picture, uploaded, get this msg:

The Dimension limits for this filetype are 1920 x 1400. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 3264 x 2448.

Huh? I post on other forums with no issue.

Anyway, what to do?

resize the photo. use a photo editor program and size it down 50%, and re-save it.

I looked at a couple of photos editor apps, but none seem to feature sizing down, plus I have no idea what this involves.

If you have a PC, you can just use the standard Paint program to do this.

Open in paint click resize then click pixels and you can size it within the limits easily. If you can't get that to work, put your helmet back on and get your crayons out

Yeah, I'm doing this on an iPad. So I modified the camera setting to be less data rich.

Upload it to flickr, which automatically renders different sizes for you. Once it's uploaded, just download the appropriate size or link to it. Really easy.
