Here's the eBay one just FYI. I have been running these for years and love them. Just make sure you get the right one for your particular model of detector.

Beltronics 995 mounted to left of mirror and hard-wired across top of windshield, down A-pillar, and under/behind right side of dash to the power socket near the console. Comes on when car is unlocked/door opened. Better than drawing power from overhead console.

I don't understand this. Can you explain why it is better?

By essentially drawing power for the detector as though you had plugged the standard cable into that power outlet, you avoid a slight voltage drop to the other items in the overhead console. That was their rationale, and it kinda makes sense.

Mine has been wired into the overhead console since I bought the car with no issues at all. I don't see the concern.

I have an X50 8500 and it still saves my ass from time to time.

I hate the way the coords look when they just dangle so I purchased a hard wire kit from Escort and ran a wire with a fuse to the trunk. The silence button is near my knee when i'm driving and it's a natural motion to press the button. Most people that ride with me don't even know it's there until I show them.

I use both the 360 and V1. You can't go wrong with either. The 360, however, has been my go to recently.

Sadly I've thought about running both simultaneously. I think I have a problem.

It's not recommended to run them simultaneously. They will interfere with each other.

I believe the V1 is slightly better on detecting KA band.

Yeah I know that's why I haven't.

I'm curious about why you think two detectors would interfere with each other. They're both receivers. Neither transmits waves of any sort.

Smart people have conducted all sorts of tests to determine that is the case. Even the manufacturers have acknowledge it to be true.

9500ix here in combo with Waze. Saves my ass almost every day. The 9500ix is suctioned to the top of the windshield, to the left of the rear view mirror. The wire is hidden behind the liner in the left pillar and under the dash and wired in the steering column with the mute button velcro'd near the ignition. I will probably upgrade to the 360 when my 440 arrives.

edit: just checked out the blend. It is too low and visible for my liking. Even a small amount of height makes a big difference in range.

I have the 9500ix as well and was very happy with it. I haven't updated it with the Escort updates in a long time. I understand that the Escort software update Program aren't compatible with the current Mac OS version and I only have Mac computers currently. So now I have a 9500 with out-dated updates and I either have to buy a PC to get updates or change to another Radar Detector. Not happy Escort doesn't support Mac users.

I find the updates to be pointless around here. Its all Ka radar in the tristate, no permanent traps, and I don't run red lights anyway.

I've had the escort max 360 for over a year, best thing i've ever purchased.

agreed...I've sent them several emails inquiring about mounts that will raise detector off center-right of the clown nose.....with ZERO response

what about all the speed cameras we can't go over 25 and sometimes its hard to do that lol not all the time just sometimes. Plus if you go on a trip its good to have the updates up to date, no? these speed cameras are all over and some are fixed and some are now mobile. Its getting money-grab city instead of NYC. How else will they pay for the subway system that the gov. alerted a state emergency. Speed cameras is one money maker here to stay so we better get updates. I guess I have to buy a PC so I can use escorts program. Still mad they won't support Mac its discrimination

There are definitely cops running k and x in PA, maybe not up by NY. I regularly travel the PA turn pike, Philly and NYC
