I believe the build quality issues on these cars (the ones that become known anyway) are few and far between. If you want a relaibly built car, buy a Lexus. I am currently driving one and if I cared about it more, it would last me another 10 years (it's already 11 years old). But there are reasons people buy German over Japanese. However, if the Germans keep getting softer and the Japs keep getting sportier, the build quality issues may start to become more of a factor in people's decisions.

I have a 70k$ 2011 MB C63 AMG and a 55k$ 2013 BMW 335i. I would say the build quality for both is very comparable. I have had MANY cars in the last 20 years and I would say these 2 are amongst the best in terms of being rattle/creek free. May be I'm just lucky!

I will say this.f30 has 1/3 less leather on the door cards than the e90. They cheated there to cut I bet. Take a look at the part in front of the door handle. It used to be all leather there. Now it's plastic

You're lucky....but give your 335i sometime, I got creaks at the 5000 mark or so.
