NJ tags on my car - rocking the no front plate. Luckily haven't been ticketed so far. My sister's BMW also has no front plate.

Another one who thinks the tow hook mount is worse looking than the drilled, center mount plate..........personal call. Mine will be going in the center.

Use Tape

Put it on with double sided sticky tape like they do for the tourist plates they put on at the factory for the factory delivery

There will be no holes in your bumper
The plate will be as small as it can be - no frame to extend beyond the outer edges of the plate and it will be hugging the bumper of your car.

if you feel like it you can trim the plate just a touch to make it a bit more svelte

I'd show the picture of my car but it is an ugly sport line F32 in mineral grey - front bumper is different from M-Sport but I think the plate stuck to the bumper looks a lot cleaner than the ones that are screwed to a frame screwed into the bumper.

hmmmmmmmmm
i guess you can bend the plate to match the curvature of the front bumper?
otherwise the plate will pull away from the bumper with just the double sided tape
and i remember seeing some mention of STRONGER double sided tape for automotive use
i guess i need to find that

Got mine drilled in. Had it with tow hook mount before but didn't like it so I switched back to centre mount. It's personal preference really

First mods: IND front reflectors and Skene license plate bracket. I put some bumper pads where the bracket meets the bumper.

My dealer generously offered to not mount a front license plate, but I didn't feel like dealing with bitchy cops. I don't understand why people put their license plates off to the side - it ruins the symmetry. Plus if you're worried about it impeding your air intake you should probably just buy a quicker car instead of stressing out about the quarter cubic foot of air per second you gain by mounting your plate to the side.

My dealer told me wait until you get a fix-it ticket and then come back we mount it for you. I didn't have to ask, he did it by default. No ticket yet since December, knock on wood...

I'd love to buy a larger engined car...if they offered it. I like the ability to remove the plate when I want to without much hassle. To each, his own.

What size Skene did you go with for the M-Sport 340i?

"Front License Plate Bracket
, Depth: Medium , Height: US , Car: 2016 bmw 340ix $49.99 USD 1 $49.99 USD"

Fits perfectly, and very easy to install.

Thanks. I had seen some people recommending the small one for the F30, although I think Skene suggests the medium. I already have my IND reflectors and am going to order a Skene plate bracket soon. Though I'll probably wait until I get hassled to put it on.

Has anyone used this yet? http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/Euro.shtml

Going to get my holes in my bumper filled in and repainted prior to me getting the car celijetted.

You're still drilling into your bumper here. Honestly, I'd rather just eat the fix it ticket that I would get once every few years and run with no front plate. I haven't had a front plate on my last 4 cars.

then what's the problem? you can put the much better looking euro plate which fits the front bumper better than US plates
