You can really see how much the F30 is really an evolution from the E90 in these pics rather than a revolutionary design. The E90 still looks pretty fresh though. What interior is that in the E90? It's definitely not Coral Red or Saddle Brown.

Great visual comparisons. Now it would be nice to read a drive and performance comparison.

F30 interior is too busy.
Much like the front of the non-sport F30.

While I have tried to like the F30, I just don't. YMMV
I also don't like the front of the LCI e90 unless it's a sport model.

They went from clean flowing lines to something contrived on the front, and like I said, the interior is just too busy.

I just got my 2013 335i M-Sport last week and I absolutely love it.

Steering wheel - Thick/soft steering wheel grip with silky smooth nappa leather. One of the best.

I do wish that the turn signals were LEDs though. One of my few minor gripes.

I can say that I don't have any glare issues with the display.

Both cars look great, but I prefer the more aggressive/sporty look of the F30.

I absolutely adored my e90 335i for 5 years. I still love the e90 but I like the f30 more. interior, exterior, the whole thing. It stands out much more and has a ton of very cool options. I have vss and madaptive and I LOVE the choices. close but f30 gets the nod.It should have come with more power though. the 8at sport makes for a quicker car however. more explosive.

I agree, this is why I went with the sport line versus the M-sport
Also, I still like the navagation screen on my E90 better as well.
Other than that Im loving my new F30.

Nice comparison.

The F30's red leather seats seem brighter in the pics. Is it just me or is that the case in person?

I can't get over how bad looking the F30 is. The only thing I like about it is the updated HVAC controls and LED angel eyes.

Great comparison!

Had to laugh at the key fob changing from an arrow to an unlock symbol. I'll still get the question "how do I lock it" (personally I'd rather getting the question of "how do I unlock it").

This is a fair comparison. The EBII vs. AW was not fair at all. EBII is superb. I still like the E90 overall.

Thanks for the great comparison!

I prefer the F30s exterior over the E90.

But I can't get over the fact how cheap the F30s interior is.
They masked it well (most things you touch in everyday driving is solid and has a good feel), but the materials and workmanship in general has slipped much in comparison to the E9x. There is about 30% less interior trim used (at the same price) and about 40 percent less leather/fabric used on the door panels. All substituted by plastic. It is only that obvious in this direct comparison. The only thing I really prefer is the new M-sport steering wheel.
The F30 is now much closer to the F20 1-series in terms of quality, whereas the E90 was much closer to the E60.

Shame really.

To be honest I really like the way the e90 looks compared to the f30 in these photos... I do like the back more but its going to take some getting use to the front lights and bumper design (how the top of the bumper that meets the hood is just a straight line). Still, even then I personally prefer the way the E90 steering wheel and ergonomics of the car, better than the f30. This is just my honest opinion since I put my name on the list and left a deposit for the new M6...I'm still keeping my car without a doubt but after driving the coupe, the way the power feels, and everything the above, I just fell in love...It wont kill me financially but I will have to watch my spendings because $120k+ is alot of money... and am not interested in the f30 body style but after this review I still just think the e90 looks firmer, stronger. (the steering wheel and how skinny it is, the nav screen pops up? hello infiniti 10 years ago...)

The F30 Nav is fixed.

I've seen and touched the new M-steering wheel in person. Its gorgeous (much better in real life) and nicely soft and as thick (if not thicker) as the old one. Mind you, the M6 has a very similar steering wheel!

Is the coral red int the same shade of red in both cars, because in the pics, the red in the f30 looks brighter? However, maybe its just the lighting.

The E90 here has a darker interior as it is in Chestnut Brown Dakota which is a color very close to the Fox Red Novillo because it is like a darker version of Coral Red Dakota.
