I´ve been running this setup since I got the car: just turn the holder upside down and it wont block the screen. This means to insert the phone you have to push it in upwards, and for me there never was any problem with it slipping since I got a rubber case on the phone (S3 btw)..

But I recently dismounted it to tighten the screws from behind --> be careful when installing AND removing it so you dont scratch the panels...

Some of the holders have an additional arm which secures the top of the phone so that you can rotate it without fear of it falling out

i have had experience with proclip. great unit.

the only minor quibble w/ the ProClip is that it gets loose every once in a while and tightening the wheels on the back side is a minor PITA. but overall, highly recommended.

Consider the Koomus mount. It does a pretty good job, but it's a little suspect-able to pulling out of the cd slot. Works good enough for me. Obstructs the shortcut buttons which I hardly use.
