2015 F30 - Sulev ?
Hi All,
I own a 2015 BMW 328I ...purchased just 6-7 months ago .Today i received a message saying that my car needs to be serviced but the message says its a 2015 328I SULEV...I am a bit surprised by this message because i was under the assumption that my car is not SULEV. Correct me if I am wrong here .

All 2016 328 automatics are all sulev in California. (n26 engine). Only way to get a non sulev (n20 engine) is to order a manual.
Other states do this too but I can only speak for Ca. And it's not 50hp. I've driven both and can't tell the difference. I believe it's around 25 and it's only above 6k rpm so in every day driving the cars are identical

Wow I didn't realize it was less powerful. BMW still advertises it the same 240hp right?

I did some internet searching before I purchased my 2015 non sulev f30. If what dudes said is true, then a sulev probably feels like less horsepower, that said, numberwise they are very same as the non sulev ones.

My wife's new 2016 228i convertible is a SULEV (N26) - says so on the window sticker and elsewhere. Absolutely ZERO difference in engine output from the N20, and doesn't feel the least bit underpowered (although it's pretty mild compared to my 2013 335i with MPPK/MPE).

+1. If I wanted to do this, that and the other thing to get decent performance I'd have bought a Civic.
