Touch Controller Retro Fit - Req plug

Alright all. I'm planning on retrofitting a touch controller into my 13' 335i. My car currently has NBT pro nav with the controller on the K-can 1 bus. I have brought some 22awg cable to splice into the K-Can 2 bus at the rear of the NBT. I want to terminate at a new plug that fits into the Y splitter cable for the NBE and TBX modules. Does anyone know what the plug number is (or where I can get one with pins) that is on the end of the current harness in the car? Its a four pin male plug. All I can find is the female CiC plugs online. I plan to pinout the live and earth and then make a new plug for K-can 2.

Thanks in advance.

Were you able to retrofit the touchpad?

Can someone tell me what the advantages and/or appeal of the touch controller are?? My car came with it and I didn't realize there was a non touch version until I started browsing this sub-forum. The touch controller is larger which is very nice, but I've also only really found 2 places the touch pad has a use, and drawing numbers for a phone call is jank at best.

I mostly use mine when changing albums/bands on my iPod. I have like 14,000 or so songs on there, so I just hit search and scribble a band name.

It's handy for entering nav destinations too.

Mine doesn't have too much trouble with numbers in addresses.

Hi there, I want to upgrade my idrive controller

My car came with no navigation and I bought a retrofit OEM from BMW part numbers:

65902450301
65902410425
65902414644

I want to change my idrive (65902410425) for one with the touch screen...my wiring retrofit is ready with the connectios for the touch controller and 2 pins and 1 connector...

but I really have no idea if all I need to do is simply buy a new idrive touch drive and controller and replace or

do I have to change/add pins to K_CAN2?

My car is year 2016 production date 7/2015 f30 320i VINK356623

Can any one advise?

If your car is a 2016 then your current I drive controller will be on Kcan2 anyway. If you retro fit a touch controller it should work straight away. You will probably have to do a couple of lines of coding so the car knows you have touch controller installed. It will obviously only work as a normal controller (minus touch function) if you do not install the TBX handwriting module in conjunction with the new controller.
