Show off your Winter Tire Packages 2014

My wife is taking delivery of her new 4 Series in the next two weeks.

She's getting a Black Sapphire 2014 435i XDrive M-Sport with the big blue M Performance Brakes.

I thought I'd start up a new posting for what everyone is using as their winter tire/wheel packages.

We're living in southern Ontario and we get our share of snow, so I'm looking at a square package I think, just to give her the best traction possible.

One of the wheels my wife likes is the F10 replica in black. I'll have to see if it fits over the brakes.

unfortunately the time is quickly approaching, especially with summer tires on my 435, to order winter wheels/tires.

those F10 replicas look pretty nice

can't decide if I want black wheels; the M Sport brakes do generate a lot of dust and it wouldn't show as much with black wheels; possibly an advantage since the car doesn't get washed as much in the winter

also, BMW OEM wheels are a lot more $$ than something from TireRack

Those aren't our wheels. It's just a pic of what we want.

We're looking at 18" for the winter. Getting them from Simply Tire in Toronto.

If you're looking for F10 replica in 19", there are some on Ebay.

Factory / OEM BMW wheels with new winter tires here.. Replicas seem to crack / bend / crumble too easy and the last thing you want to do is crack a rim in below freezing temps and a snow storm..

I want to put winter tires/wheels on my 435i GC that currently has mixed performance tires. Current configuration is:
19" M light alloy wheels Double-spoke style 442 M with mixed tires in bi-color Orbit Grey, gloss-lathed, 8 J x 19 with 225/40 R 19 tires at the front, 8.5 J x 19 with 255/35
R 19 tires at the rear. Tires are run-flat.
Any suggestion on 18 inch square set of winter tires/wheels? Will any 18 inch wheel fit, since I also have M-sport brakes? I want to do non run flat with higher profile for the winter, some thing like R18 225/45
Thanks.

My tire shop told me that some 18's will fit while others won't. They will be test fitting some on other customers cars in 18's in the next couple of weeks so I'll know what my options are.

Apparently the F10 replicas I posted wouldn't fit in 18" last year but the manufacturer changed them this year so they may now fit. If not, I can either go with a 19" or another style 18".

Have you check Replika R141A? Its also a F10 style rep and 18" clears the m-sport brake.

Thanks W K C, I'll look into them. they're identical except in a gloss finish.

Here's a pic of them on "HouseMusicRules" ride in an 18" x 8".

Yes, the 351m fit very well. Either 8.5x19 ET 33 square or staggered with 9" rear ET 44. Both are more flush than the OEM F30 wheels.
