Forget Avin, you're in Europe - shipping and customs would be way too much. As for the others, well... I'm not convinced that there is a single 100% reliable source. Each seller carries various units, including Snapdragon units. It's up to you to verify either yourself or with the seller that what they are listing is what you are after.

As for the AUX replace with USB on newer models, well... I'm not sure how it works to be honest. Maybe you still need to code in AUX, but I can't tell for sure.

I don't use Apple products, full stop, so I'm not interested in CarPlay option at all. In fact I'm not even interested in Android Auto, in my opinion head unit should do/already does what it suppose to do: navigation and music. Not really interested in any other option - I just care about good experience with these two.

So to answer your question: neither, I would opt for an OEM retrofit that does everything what I want it do (and this is exactly what I'm doing now). I had enough of bad experience with Android for E6x, no thank you. MMI is just simplified Android unit that only does CarPlay so definitely no.

I too using Android HU for only music and navigation. But my experience is Android HU is better than native NBT. Reason is I can either run Sygic with free map upgrade for offline map or Waze if I need accurate traffic and hidden police information. My advice for stable system is once you run on stable version (still on 2.3.6) just leave it. Also music does sound better from OEM system when using DAC and also more finetuning EQ to the system. As I have upgraded my speakers and underseat sub, I need better control on lifting signal below 50hz to give the system slightly more bass. This is hard to achieve on OEM system unless you have DSP amp for underseat sub.

Mate my system is stable, which doesn't change the fact that it's shit - again, this is my personal opinion based on the quality of hardware for E6x / E9x and the code behind the KSW system/apps. This is the most messed up thing with thousands of lines of dead weight that is cause a whole bunch of issues. I can write my own apps, I can fix most of the issues I have with the Android software, but I can't fix shitty screen, lack of sensors or CAN communication mess.

If KSW code had face it would look like that


I'm quite happy with the map that is offered for EVO nav and the level of adjustment on EQ for Harman/Kardon system, so that is what I'm choosing to have in my car.

I like that Bluetooth feature... Never heard anything about that capability until now. I wonder if it will work with streaming while navigating. I wonder what other undiscovered goodies is in there?. Good thing I waited, would of hated to upgrade to Sd625 only for this feature to be exclusive to SD662.
