Manual Sport Seats

I'm in a pinch, having last minute thoughts to change my base no-line order to a sportline. I'm a little concerned about the sport seats and adjustability. I am not getting premium package.

Does anyone know of the manual non-power sport seats have adjustable bolsters for your back? Is it power or manual?

The side bolsters have electrical adjustment, regardless of whether the seat is manual or electric.

But no lumbar adjustment for the manual seat. Not even manual adjustment.

Adjustable lumbar support is an option on either manual or electric seats, regadless of whether it's standard or sports seats. If equipped then the adjustment will be electric.

^^ What he said. I'm getting manual Sports Seats without lumbar support as I found them perfectly comfortable and I have the sane setup in my E90.
The standard seats were a huge let down, so much so that my heart actually sunk when I sat in them. Get 'em and don't worry about it being manual! Hey, if you can stretch for the Sport, go for it, but remember the SE is still great so don't bankrupt yourself over it!

As the others have said, the side bolsters are still electric.

Seats are very subjective - people are built so differently. I have the sport seats and don't miss the lumbar support adjustment - the way they are built is fine for me. I find the seats to be very supportive and comfortable.

The only thing I do wish is that the driver's seat would go up another 3/4 of an inch. I am 5'8". I like to sit high, as I can do in my MB's. It is not bad - just a slight thing.

The OP is from US of A, which "unfortunately" doesn't have much choice in terms of customising a SE (or "No Line" in their speak).

You are right, I stand corrected. Although I've never seen a manual sports seat with lumbar support, it can be ordered.

If you can, I would switch to sportline. I was thinking about ordering a base until I saw one in person. Compared to the sport line, the interior felt cheap to me and the wheels on the base looked out of place. If you can pull it, definitely go with the sport line, you won't be sorry.

I agree, I got baseline and it's not bad, but Sportline is worth the extra.

Thanks!! I understand that the manual sport seats in a non-premium pkg car will still have electric side bolsters to adjust the width of the side bolsters. There will not be lumbar support unless I get the premium pkg. thanks!!!! (now I just have to get comfortable with the red stitching!)

I'm with you on the red stitching. I love the red on the dash, the steering wheel, the doors, wherever else it may be, but on the seats I simply do not like it. Maybe it's something you get used to, but I'm awfully tempted to get Everest Grey seats on my sport line. I think the lighter colored sport seats look pretty unique.

That's what I have. But remember, if
you get electric seats you also get the automatic reverse dip mirror. I wish I had gone for powered seats now

Yes, but their "fortunately" outweighs their "unfortunately" by miles due to their cheap car prices.

Is this for definite? I couldn't work out why my mirror doesn't dip in reverse.

I have sport 320d with manual sports seats (and electric bolsters)

I dont see any option for the lumbar support. Is it standard with the sports seats or something? Im going manual BTW, as I only adjust my seat very rarely and my wife never drives my cars.
