I get 33 USMPG/39 UKMPG/7.1l/100km on the highway doing 117kph/70MPH with the x-drive.
It's about 30% better than my E90 335xi (both were auto's). I'm meeting/exceeding the EPA window sticker (which blows me away, since I've NEVER did that before). |

2013 328i 8AT, over 75% city
25.4 MPG average over last 5k miles. Diving mostly in comfort and ASS is on. Edit: Did a 475 mile round-trip from Seattle to Merritt, BC. Some elevation changes in Canada. 34MPG calculated at the pump for that trip. Last edited by bateau; 10-05-2016 at 03:05 PM.. |

Not city driving.
Not highway driving. More like urban traffic commute. Sport mode with enthusiastic heavy foot driving. 98% of the time, i would pump 15.5 gal of 91. It gets me to 270 miles... More like 265 on a consistent average. 265/15.5 = 17.1 mpg realistically. You guys should really not read the average number in your car, i think that is still optimistic... |

2012 F30 328i Sport Package 6MT - somewhat aggressive driving style.
I average 8.5L/100KM doing primarily city driving (85% city /15% highway). This equates to just under 28MPG for those still using the stone-age imperial system.

Posting in here doesn't necessarily mean we care about MPG, but rather that we are willing to share our fuel consumption averages with other BMW owners & enthusiasts.
Coming from a family that has never owned a vehicle with an engine bigger than a 4-cylinder, you'd think I care greatly about fuel consumption/my environmental footprint, but honestly, like yourself I could really care less. Driving pleasure > fuel consumption. I'm the one forking out cash to fill up at the pumps anyway so as long as it isn't absolutely atrocious, I'm content
