Talking My new to me F30

My new to me 2015 F30 Msport 335i 6spd.
New to this forum but not new to BMWs.
Can't wait to start a few small mods.
I got the some carbon splitters, AVIN screen and rear camera upgrade coming in the mail soon.

Nice! I love mine! I would always go with warranty. Just depends if you're a gambler or not. I'd rather fork money over now and be covered for a possible huge catastrophe.

Can't answer poll unless mileage known, one previous owner? CPO car? What's in warranty pkg (which seems pricey)? How long are you keeping the car?

Thanks! Just getting used to the car now. It has 55k miles and a 6spd manual. Purchased from a used car dealer. The quote I got was from the bmw dealer the car was originally purchased at. Financially it doesn't seem worth It to spend $4700 for an extra 3 years and 45000 miles. The same BMW dealer also offered a aftermarket warranty for much less. Thinking about just spending some money on scheduled maintenance and mods. Mods that would probably void any warranty work anyways.

I have the 100k warranty that covers the infotainment not sure which one that is. I would negotiate some sort of discount, they may give you a timeframe maybe before the current warranty expires to upgrade.

$5400 for the premium pkg which includes infotainment warranty. $4700 for gold that doesn't.

If your engine blows up like in the N26 thread this could be worth it but you should be able to get it for less. Not sure how much I paid but I got the extended maintenance and asked them to give me a combined discount. Also got the wheel and tire but not sure if that was worth it. I think the took $300 off for each of the 3. So like $900 off.

Yes I'm sure they're charging more due to mileage and age. I was surprised I could even purchase the BMW warranty since I didn't buy the car CPO. $4700 seems like a lot of money to pay up front and still be at the mercy of dealer if they want to make repairs under warranty.

I’m in the uk and just renewed/extended my warranty after the standard runs out soon. Here in the uk we pay annually, cost me £522 for the year.

My car was in the garage and had a lot of work done to it under warranty and some of the costs were eye watering which is which I renewed.

To put it in perspective my annual cost would be about 1100 British Pounds. Here in the states I would have to pay it all up front.

If you don't mind me asking what are some of the problems you had fixed under warranty?

Things I remember are windows runners, front door lock motors, ac condenser, front suspension top mounts, some other suspension components, an oil leak, steering rack, headlamp alignment bracket.

I also had some squeaks fixed but from what I gather the extended warranty doesn’t cover interior squeaks so thought I’d get this done before the warranty expires.

As I said eye watering costs

I was able to negotiate a little discount off the BMW extended warranty. $4389 for the Gold level warranty.

72 months from the in the service date or 100k miles. $100 deductible for all repairs.

$4400. For 2 years and 8 months or 45k extra miles.

Thats $137.50 per month.
Approximate $4.58 per day.

My other dilemma is the closest BMW dealer is 2 hours away in Seattle. The dealer told me the warranty would not be honored in Canada only in United States.

Starting to really think I should just put away a little extra for emergency repairs then pay for the warranty.

I tried calling Endurance and they said they would not be able to cover my car. The person on the phone couldn't understand why. I still get calls from them trying to sell me a warranty. The people I have dealt with so far don't make really want to have to deal with them at all.
