From left top pair torque, bottom power, right?
If so looks like power keeps building through the the rev range - quite like a patrol I think? Cool

This would be for the better halfs 320d as she has been complaining about 60-100.

Thanks
I would get the car checked out if it's performance is very poor 60-100. A standard 320d should pull pretty well in that range, .. the cars have a top speed of 140mph+ too.
Nah Hooded. I maintain all my cars. She drove my 435d and enjoyed it so much she felt the 320d was lacking. Taking the M3 is not an option as it would cost a fortune in petrol. That's why we have diesels for the motorway slog. I drove a 320d mapped and it felt much improved from 60-80 so I am confident a map will resolve her complaints. A happy wife equals a happy life so I have given her my 435d for now.

Anyhow mad booked surgery until new year. Cannot get time off in the week. Shame they do not do weekends. Spoke to the clinic manager and we cannot even get cover for one day. Personally I do not want a locum in my clinic anyway.

There are no MPG gains on the F series diesels with ECU Remaps.

Yes one set is Torque and the other BHP. Yes power is quite linear on the 335d.

Do you offer the switch tool for the 320d? If yes then great.

If no and you are willing to fit me in for the end of November although you are not open on a Saturday then you can have my custom. If you cannot open as a one off on a weekend then I will have to wait until next year.

Thanks

Hi Paul I’m really interested in coming over to get my 335d mapped, do you remove the limiter (if active) as part of the remap? Cheers Dave

Can you show the before/after throttle request maps on the 335d to see how the shape has been altered throughout the different driving modes?

Just curious as the curves look good, but when you described tuned response/drivability I worry about how the values mentioned have been changed.

My pet hate is half the throttle travel becoming dead space.

The throttle mapping is progressive with no "dead space". Speak to anyone one that has the tune about the drivability. There are a few on this thread that have experienced it now.

Also there has been a lot of talk about OBD remaps for F Series cars in the last few days.

We are testing a solution for this over the holiday period on our own cars and if we are happy with it will be rolling it out with the option of our remote tuning cable.

Hi Paul. Thanks for this. Would I be right in thinking that this will still use the same maps as the ECU out method, it's just a different way of putting the map on? What I'm getting at is I'm a bit paranoid and I like to let people run maps for 12 months or so before I take the plunge myself!
I had a map of yours on an E90 330d and it was excellent.

It looks like CMD now have a protocol for OBD remapping over ENET.

The tuning files should be identical.

Now to wait for the chinese clones hehe.

I was gonna splash out on a bdm frame, probes and tool for my old Z4 but never did.
Very tempted with the 335d as arguably there is a lot in there I'd like to change!

Turbo diesel are also arguably pretty easy to tune vs NA petrol haha.

100% correct. We've tuning these F series cars as soon as it was possible to do so around 3 years ago so well tested.

Yes we have CMD as one of our tools. OBD is possible with CMD once the ECU has been opened and patched for OBD.

Our Evolve-R cable is £156 inc VAT for our ECU Flash customers. It already flashes OBD on F Series cars once the ECU has been patched. The new development will allow us to do OBD without opening and patching it.

Yeah ecu out is a pita.

I'm glad a decent tool has arrived for OBD.

Now this is why I wanted an older car haha. I've another 2 years of warranty before I tinker properly with a decent power upgrade.
