F30 Software Update / Coding

Hi,

I've got a 2015 F30 LCI 330D and recently had the car coded (by an indi) and updated to the latest engine, gearbox, chassis and adaptive suspension software.

Since the update my comfort mode has been ruined (for me anyway). Steering is heavier, gear shifs are quicker decreasing acceleration and the roar i used to get from the engine is now gone with more turbo whistling!

Is there anyway I can revert the ECU software back to factory as the indi has told me that' it's not possible.

I just want my old comfort mode back, lighter steering, more responsive acceleration.

Any thoughts, comment or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is possible to downgrade firmware to factory or any other bmw data. Have most data from 2015, just can't understand why steering goes heavier after update. Did couple this month and everyone seems to work better.

Hi Vorph,

You've given me a glimmer of hope to get my car back to how it was! Thanks

I don't know what software was on my car previously but it was updated to the latest 2017 version - engine, gearbox, chassis, adaptive suspension and traction.

I would love to get it back to how it was. As mentioned comfort mode has been affected the most - heavier steering, reduced acceleration and increased turbo whistle.

What's the best way to contact you about getting this done?

Thanks

What does the Alpina flash bring (on a Mar 17 340i)?

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to give some really positive feedback for Vorph! He did an excellent job sorting out the previous guys coding that ruined the drive of my car!

Really nice guy who knew his stuff, arrived early and flashed the whole car with the latest BMW software and ran a full diagnostic resolving all errors.

My 330d is driving better than it used to (even better than before the crappy coding that was done).

Would highly recommend using him for all your coding, software and retrofitting needs!

So if your car was updated to the latest BMW Software with Vorph; doesn't that mean it wasn't the "update" that ruined the feeling of your car? It was the previous tuner of your car messing with other things?

I'm confused.

Well the previous coder said that he updated the gearbox, traction, chasis, suspension and engine at the same time (within 20 mins remotely). After the update or whatever was done the car didn't drive as well, steering became heavier, over revving etc.

Vorph however came today, spent over 3 hours and flashed each module and then ran a full diagnostic.

After all of that my steering was better / improved and so was the gear change and engine etc!

Overall car feels better so I'm really happy.

I see, so possibly because the previous coder updated everything simultaneously the car wasnt too happy?

Yeah that may have been these case or perhaps the updates weren't right for the car. Either way that sort of job shouldn't be done remotely via wifi!

Nice makes sense! So here's my question, do you think updating each module with a good coder will be worth it? My car is a 2014 so im sure theres new verisons of each software. Should I go for it? If im not feeling anything wrong with my car?
