Sorry Lobb just a manner of speaking man. We may end up in a shared room at some point. Lol.

Great to hear all went well!

Now, in true forum style it's now time to talk about the tools you had shoved up you to stick everything back together....

Very interesting actually- amazing what they can do. Passing the "ring" doesn't seem like a fun prospect! Best of luck to you on the recovery.

Not as bad as it looks.

The company I'm with now is one of the leaders in staplers and bowel surgery; the company I was with previously was a key player in minimally invasive laparoscopic (key hole) surgery - it's all great technology with vastly superior recovery times that we would have once seen.

Hope recovery is going well mate

EDIT: incidentally, with many staplers you don't need to 'pass a ring' as the staples are deployed without such a device. Either way you're unlikely to notice.

Any idea when you'll get home? Hospitals do a great job but always nice to be back in your own surroundings!

Been a few days now and my new bowel works!!! Amazing. What a great re-plumbing job they've done. Wow.

Off the morphine :

On the oral tramadol

They said I might be able to go home tomorrow. How cool is that!!!????

Laters, michael.
