Can blind spot detection be added

After having my F30 for a month now, I'm wishing that I had ordered blind spot detection. Can it be added by the dealer?

I'm sure it could be added, but I imagine it would be incredibly expensive. Both side mirrors and sensors would have to be added, and the dealership would have to do some coding to activate it, I think. It'd be worth asking about it.
