the 4GC is a stunning looking car. I was very impressed when I saw ours on the lot. Looks even better in person then in pics if you can imagine. Def going to be a great looking car stock and can't wait to see some of the modded set ups down the road

I don't think it should be a problem to open the hatch. We had a X3 in the same garage and opened the hatch all the time in the garage. I wouldn't think the GC would be different.

Would love to see a picture with the rear doors open too just to get an idea of how the frameless doors look at the back.
I will get that picture before the weekend is over. Are you talking about a rear shot with both doors open?

Are you able to open the trunk in your garage? My fear is it will hit the ceiling.. (Probably not justified)

Yes please, maybe one from the rear quarter with both doors on same side open? It looks great from every angle if you ask me.

i think the most shocking part about this story, other than that he was able to get buy one off the lot, is that the dealer came down in price ... so discounts are available after all for the GC?

I paid full ticket, woops Still, very happy for the OP. Maybe the dealer started worrying about whether he'd be able to move such a heavily optioned car?

Cold Weather? You said Vegas, right?

I wouldn't have thought they would have been discounted either. I planned on waiting and comparing this car to the new C-Class. Maybe they came down because I have purchased 6 cars from them now - I am a quick, consistent customer.

The cold weather package is the only option on the car I wouldn't have ordered. Since I didn't order it...

Well, if I go back a while I had a Honda Accord (for 15 years), a 2007 335, a 2009 Mini Cooper S, a 2011 128 and I also currently have a 2008 Civic. During that time my wife had a 2007 525, a 2011 X3 and now a 2014 528.

I really like this car. I think all of my cars, except the Hondas maybe, have had a unique character. For that reason, I liked them all for different reasons. The 335 and 128 were manuals so that is different also.
  • I actually wish there was an exposed cubby with the USB plug. There isn't really a good way to plug the phone in and still have it out to pick up. We have the same problem in the 528. I do have a red cable coming to match the interior.
  • I may be weird, but I can't wait until they come out with some all weather mats...or at least my dealership gets them.
  • The guages don't light up white during the day. Or, I can't find it, my salesman can't find it and the "Genius" couldn't find it.
  • I had a problem with programming the garage doors using the same remotes I used on the X3, 128 and 528.
  • Even with the N20, it is fast enough for me. I had a turbo I6 in the 335 and rarely got into it. I guess I just don't drive hard/fast very much.
  • I am still getting used to closing the doors - there is no frame to push the door closed and that is different.

Depends on what each person needs I guess. I carry big and bulky loads for archery and I also set up my bow from the boot of my car, so the bigger the opening the better. (my stuff won't even fit through some sedan openings)

As for bumping their garage doors, I believe you can set the opening height limit in iDrive.

If you can custom set the height, then that would be perfect.

Yes, the height the hatch opens can be set using iDrive. What you see is how it is from the factory.

That car is sweet. Congrats. Just when I was looking at things other than BMWs I see this. I may have to reconsider.

I say awesome. I'll be down there to sign the papers this week. Let me put a deposit on it right now. This thing will be AWESOME in manual transmission! Oh what's that? BMW NA will not be carrying the 435i GC in manual? Only auto? Oh man, bummer. No go.

I like to tease them like that. Buwahahaha!
