InJen F30 335 Intake!!

Got a pic of the new 335 N55 intake for he F30 from InJen...

2012 BMW F30 335i 3.0L N55 engine, +13.08HP and +11.11TQ and equipped with a powder-coated heatshield. P/N:SP1127 available shortly in polished and wrinkle black.

OK ... so where does the air actually come in from? I assume theres a duct up from the bumper? obviously not comin in from the grills like the e90

There's a duct behind the driver side kidney grill

That polished look sticks out like a sore thumb. And they claim 13hp with no other mods/tunes?

Intake makers claim a lot of things. Nothing is true without a dyno printout (and sometimes not even then.)

Well at least it appears (from what Modbargins claims anyway) the it uses a "dry" filter.

I bought the first injen intake for the Evo back in the day. The fitment was terrible. They did some design changes and wouldn't offer a replacement. My point is wait until a vendor or forum member confirms proper fitment before you buy.

me. ther is a extra vacuum hose that didn't have a place to go. the stock intake has 2 wires that plugs into the intake. lnjen has a extra ome that does not have a place to plug into. **********s claims if the extra wire/hose blows air out, than its ok and I can leave it out hanging which is kinda weird to me....

other than that it makes the turbo a whole lot louder and makes it whoosh Evey time i accelerate. I kinda feel like my turbo is being over worked or maybe its just the intake. my engine is stock other than the intake. no real gains just makes the tu turbo sounds good and very loud almost to much. I love it, but I hope its not a bad thing cuz the turbo is super loud and "whooshes'' so often.... IS THIS NORMAL AND I HOPE ITS OK FOR THAT VACUUM HOSE TO HANG OUT LIKE THAT.

ALSO I HOPE I DON'T GET ANY DUST OR DIRT INDIE MY ENGINE FROM THIS INTAKE??????? THE FILTER AT THE END SHOULDN'T ALLOW ANY DUST INSIDE RIGHT?????

Why. Why would you ever buy this? You just spent $50k on a car, engineered for optimal power and fuel economy, and then you stick this on your brand new vehicle that makes a cool "whoosh" sound, and they offer no dyno results? Never mind any increase in performance, but you say the turbo sounds stressed? In a world full of bad product that is sold on no merit and purely marketing, I'd never put anything like this on my vehicle.

The whistle it goes woot woot, etc.
