Awesome report! I`ve visited 2 times in BMW Welt (summer of `11 & `12) but unfortunately we can´t have a Welt delivery at all in Finland. Stories like that will let my imagination flow

Apologize if I missed it elsewhere in the article, but what are the specs on your car, looks like the M-sport package and custom wheels? Lemans Blue Metallic? I'd love to see more pictures of your car from different angles.

Beyond the specs in my signature (see below in blue), I've got the enhanced Bluetooth, which just awesome. The 'EB' stands for Estoril Blue II. Enhance Beige Venetian leather. Aluminum hexagon and blue matte interior pieces. Sport paddles. That's about it. Nice thing about ordering your car is you don't buy stuff you don't really care about.

The wheels are M5 reps. Fronts 19x8.5" ET35, 245/35/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport; Rears 19x9.5" ET38, 275/35/19 MPSS.

No. Still running the German tourist plates. Too bad they have a 31-12-12 date on them.

I had a work commitment a few days after my delivery date and I flew out the next day.

The 320d is a nice car. It was a manual, very easy to drive and a lot of fun. I was surprised a diesel could be that good. Did well over 100 mph on the autobahn quite easily.

I did the E-Delivery back in 2007 right before the Welt came online. What a shack that was comparied to this moument! Can't wait to do that again and visit more museums!

I really, really enjoyed reading this thread. It seems so long ago that I was doing my ED in August. Has it really only been 7 months? It feels like years.

I finally finished it! I saw the first parts, but I never got around to complete the rest, and I just did!

Awesome!

It was a trip about all cars and briefly enjoy what Europe's charms...

Makes me want to go again, who knows when

Anyways, HAPPY NEW YEAR , Can't believe its getting to 2 years now...

I wonder why BMW cannot accommodate a ED in your country? Something to do with the laws?

I went back in 2006, a year before BMW World opened so my ED trip was less interesting as I went directly to the factory to pick up my car. It was still fun however, and I did some of the same things you did...

I went to Oktoberfest, then around Munich, then I picked up my car and drove to Stuttgart for Porsche & Mercedes museums, then to Frankfurt for the Int'l Auto Show, then to Cologne for 1 night. Dropped off my car and flew home.

I see you changed your wheels when you got back...nice!
