F30 AFE Power exhaust on 328i

I liked the AFE exhaust system on this F30. He didn't rev it enough but hopefully you'll get an idea of how it sounded. It looked well made too. He had a nice intake system too.

Sounds great. wow...I wonder how much the intake changed it too though...

Do you know how much it costs?

Sounds awesome! Hopefully it won't cost an arm and a leg.

This is better than the other video of the AFE exhaust, gives a better idea of the sound outdoors as opposed to inside a shop. I would love to hear acceleration, engine braking, interior sounds, etc. It costs around $1200.

Wish they made a quad version of this for the 328, I wouldn't mind cutting/replacing the bumper for the quad tip look- hopefully Remus will make a quad Powersound setup for the F30 328 like the E9X 328.

I'm so bummed! I just saw this on the AFE website:

Does not fit vehicle with N26 engine. N26 engine is SULEV (super low emission) version of N20

Of course I have an N26.... so now what? Am I stuck with the stock exhaust?

N26 is *very* close to the N20. The reason the exhaust is not compatible is only due to the connection style from the downpipe; see below:

The N20 has a slip over style downpipe -> catback connection.

The N26 has a v-band flange from downpipe -> catback connection.

This is why the N20 downpipes and catbacks are not compatible with the N26, and vice versa. Silly BMW for changing this on us last minute!

We are pretty impressed at AFE's foray into the BMW Exhaust aftermarket. Their product looks really solid.

It doesn't even sound that much like a four banger... it almost has a bit of the throatiness that you hear from the I-6 engines.
