Pics: iPhone 6 in an F30
In case you were wondering how well the iPhone 6 (4.7" model) fits in your F3x (or F8x)...
The 6 doesn't quite lay flat on the cup holder cover, but it would probably take some aggressive maneuvering before that would be an issue. Note, I do not have the snap-in adaptor in my center console. That is the phone just laying in there. Apple leather case affixed.

I have a iPhone 5S (AT&T, 32 GB), and upgraded to iOS8. Everything works as iOS7 did - over bluetooth, I can make calls, and listen to music (including changing tracks). This is on my 2013 335i (CIC) - it does take longer to connect/pair to my phone every time, which is a little annoying

34.50, regarding the speed comment... just an idea, check your iPhone Bluetooth setting to see if it is set to sync contacts. Try turning it off to see if this speeds it up.
Settings/Bluetooth/touch the blue i in the circle to the right of the "My Device" being the BMW. Turn off Sync Contacts. Hope this helps you. |

If you do as I suggest I don't believe any contacts will show, but perhaps it will allow you to isolate the cause then decide which is most important.

F36 No NAV, IPhone 5s IOS 8,
Calls have dropped, music stops playing because it looses Bluetooth connection, sometimes the information of the tracks doesn't display but once the next track plays all the info will display. Never happened with IOS 7.

Thanks for sharing. How does it fit in the little compartment on the left side of the steering wheel, that little second glove box under the dash?
Looks like you need an easy pass lol |

I can tell you for a fact that the iphone6+ does NOT fit in the cup holders, and is not very safe in the little cubby in front of them. I put mine in a case and leave it sideways across both cup holders, and it fits well there, but you loose a cup holder.

I have had iOS 8 beta since the beginning of June. This problem hasn't been an issue in the beta until the final release and should be addressed by either BMW or Apple. Make sure you submit feedback to the companies to notify them of the issue. That's because the Snap-In is using a direct connection for music, not bluetooth library streaming.

Since I got the iPhone 6, it doesn't show up in the bluetooth devices for music. Calls and contacts still show up but as of now, it won't stream audio. Everything says it's connected between the phone and BMW. I can't say for sure but I think my iPhone 5 still streamed audio even after I downloaded iOS8.
