Ooo, that looks pretty, what toys you got in it? Yeah I know, but gives me a bit more time get the deposit together, not too long now, counting down the days.

Ordered 15/01/14

Built 19/02/14

Dealer 20/03/14

Pickup 10/04/14

So in all just under 3 months from order to pickup.

But they flying out, took 3 days after build to get on a boat the 2 days until at distribution centre, what's your eta?

test drove a 435 'vert today (luxury, I think). Was even able to put the top down.
Quite smooth. I couldn't appreciate differences between Sport/Comfort/Eco, but it wasn't that long of a drive. Steering felt fine. Car didn't have DHP.
Noticed they switched the direction of the switch for top up/down.
Wish they'd start making mine.

my car (Sparkling Graphite) and the MG one I drove

I have had my 428 luxury convertible and love it. It is my 5th BMW convertible and it sure is different. Love the trunk lift. Love not having to remember to get the windscreen from the garage. Finally able to enjoy the top down on the way home from work. Driving home today and had a 428 sedan behind me. Love the lines on the car.

most likely with comfort access (not sure if std)
I can do it with my 335, but you have to be really close, closer than to lock/unlock doors for some reason

With neck warmers, I can probably drive top down even when it's 50-55 F outside, which is pretty much 8 months in Boston. And, when the top is up and in bad weather, it doesn't have any disadvantages over the coupe except that the back seats are tighter, which I don't care, and higher weight would probably give more traction.
Also the weight difference is more noticeable in NA Engines. With the turbo, the performance difference between vert and the coupe will be less significant.
The less summer one has the more valuable the convertible. Try going to Hamburg where they can have 11 months of grey sky. Lots and lots of convertibles so that you really suck in the sunny days, even if you have to go somewhere for work or something.

I don't know about the neck warmer. What you need is one of those pads that cats sleep on, from the pet supply store. It is exactly lap-sized and has warm fabric. Put it on the jeans.

Out of curiosity, are you aware of a Boston area dealer that has a 4-series vert on the lot?

There was a MG/Black M Sport 435i convertible in Herb Chambers Boston a month ago (On Commonwealth Ave). I don't know it's still there.

Does anyone know exactly what the 3 temp settings of the neck warmer are? Live in Houston and unless the lowest setting is i the 60's they will be fairly useless for 9 months (+) of the year !! Can't seem to find any specific info on this.

delivery later today finally--car off Titania 6/6
was lurking at the dealer today and couldn't find the car....
then the guy drove it up to the detailing area--lucky timing
he even let me sit in it.

I'll probably post a few more pics over the weekend once it's cleaned up--and mine.

barely cleared the curb--don't know what I would have done if he scraped it

Looks awesome. More pics!

Does the interior and trunk feel roomier than the 3 vert?

similar feel sizewise inside, but I love all the new tecnology.
trunk seems similar too.
don't know what the official capacities are, but I'm sure they're easily findable
the overall car, however, does feel a little bigger, which I believe is the case.

still easy to back into the garage, though

How did you get M-Sport in dark blue? The configurator on BMW USA doesn't allow that color.

Also - does the top wiggle around or creak over really bad roads?

Anything you don't like?

Thanks - I'm about to pull the trigger on one!
