Yes, i think this makes a difference.
Some components do not work at the wrong CAN.

hi again,

I reconnected the module to can 1.
In which case the High Port is orange and green while the Low Port is only green.

I then VO coded the same modules. Then FDL coded as described in the manual method.

No image yet. And also E-sys does not show the TRSVC or PDC in the ECU list. Only FEM_BODY, FEM_GW, ICM, KOMBI, HU_NBT, ZBE and a few more are present.

I wonder the previous posts, where there initially is no image, however after a night's time everything was working like a charm in the morning. Any suggestions on how that happens? Should I wait for a night long?

Is the TRSVC still needed?
I thought instead of the TRSVC you installed the emulator?

The PDC has no own ecu, so you can't see it in Esys.

yes I installed an emulator not the actual TRSVC unit. The manuals on the forum advice to VO code the TRSVC unit that's why I thought its missing may be the problem.

I wonder if KCAN1 requires CAN termination by 120 ohm resistors. I am using the cut off KCAN1 cables that used to be connected to my old iDrive controller knob.

While I retrofit NBT and touch iDrive controller knob, I cut KCAN1 wires. And I installed the rear view camera emulator on that cut off line since it was free and also close to the headunit. Since that's now the termination of the CAN line maybe I need to attach 120 ohm resistor. Any idea on CAN termination requirement for BMW?

The TRSVC can only be seen if the original was installed.
The connection to the cutted K_CAN wires from the old controller should work.
But about CAN termination i know nothing.
Maybe you can ask the seller of the emulator.

In my opinion there can be 2 problems.
Either the camera doesn't send any video signal or the connection with the NBT is incorrect.
Or the CAN connection is incorrect.

Thank you.
I will tell you the manually codings tomorrow if meanwhile no one can help you.
I promise

Edit:
And here it is...

HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > AUX1_IN_HU = wert_255 [Default]
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > CAMERA_SYSTEM = trsvc
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > MACRO_RV_C = aktiv
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > TRSVC = wert_81

And maybe you need also the codings in REM...
REM_01 > PdcParkMasterVar 3203 > RVC = wert_02

And then as a little bonus you can code the zoom for the trailer coupling.
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 >MACRO_TRAILER_COUPLING = aktiv
thank you for the advice and I will check video pins. what do these wert_02 and other "wert" values correspond to? for pins 21 and 24 is there a different setting?

RVC = wert_02 means only Rear View Camera On.
wert_01 would mean Camera Off.

For your installation the codings can be a problem because these codings are for the original retrofit with TRSVC ecu.
But i found some other values in NBT.
You can try this other values for CAMERA_SYSTEM.

Wow that's awesome looks identical to OEM, must be already pre wired to accept the install. Great feature to have. Do you also get gps or did you already have this?

after a wrong can bus connection does the system block out that can line entirely? Should I try deleting errors after correct can connection?

So one for those that have done this on NBT F30

Got the car apart pins 51 52 on the CAN connection are blank nowires in plug to top into.

Solution is to purchase some pins with wires Part Number
The bushing contact part# is 61130005197.

Soldered to the tails of the green and orange/green CAN wires from the camera unit and pop them into the empty 51 and 52 pins.

Then added 3AG to VO and the did CODE on ICM, HU_NBT, REM, FEM_Body in coding section in Esys. TRSVC did not code as CODE buttonw as greyed out.

All put together and tested which is great. One observation though comparing to the i3 which has same system the line guidance is slower

Now to put my coding back and get rid of the warning message as well

Hello Guys,

Just spend the last hour to read the all 14 pages...

I have a 6 month BMW M4 that I just bought 10 days ago with the last Idrive version 5.

Can someone tell me if the ******ion are the same as the NBT version?

Is it possible to simply do a retrofit with ISTA P or it requires FSC code?

Thanks.

Connections are the same as NBT, you don't need FSC for rear camera, only VO coding.

would be same adding 3AG to VO and coding. Bought my camera, unit and cable from ebay seller it was the F10 cable but its just case of undoing some of the felt tape to separate some of the cables and unit fits nicely to the lugs above the car battery on the bulkhead. Just need some nylon nuts as one that hold the boot fusebox. If you need the OEM install guide pm me.

Ok so I can do it with ISTA P directly then?

Yes, this is because I have sorted out the part numbers from the complete retrofit set.
To the complete retrofit kit belongs still the camera, the button and so on.
But if you already have all parts except the cable set, you can order this at your BMW-dealer by this part number.
