Hi everyone, I just installed the Roadtop MMI in my G32 and faced the problem of too short LVDS cable, as the end that goes to the screen shoud be connected to the MMI. I didn't found a solution online so I just decided to connect the cable in reverse, after altering the plug (cut off some plastic) it went in and it works just fine.

The box is awesome but the android auto is streched, the seller sugests to set the "carplay left and right scrap" but I have to set it all the way to the 60 which results in margins of app. 1cm on both sides of the screen. Is there a solution for this?

I would check the android phone settings first. I have an iPhone so I don’t know the android version, but I know there are several layers of confusing menus.

Then check your OEM screen resolution settings with Bimmercode or ESys, etc.

What is your OEM screen size? What is your head unit?

The last resort should be the MMI screen cropping menu.

Hope somebody with an android phone can chime in.

If possible try carplay with iphone of friends if you not have and check if the view is "normal" and not streched.

AFAIK, bimmertech's mmi is the only one that supports 10.2" screens.

I have a 10.2" F15 OEM screen installed with my NBT, and using a Road Top MMI. Also used a Carlinkit MMI, no issues.. Never had a resolution issue.

Hello, I have my mmi radtop installed and it works great, but the only thing is that the waze and whatsapp messages are very low, if I increase the volume, at the end of the notice or whatsapp message the music sounds very loud. How can it be adjusted? the volumes separately?

If you using AUX, on MMI menu exist audio settings (general, music, navigation, voice (siri) . If you using fully bluetooth (phone and "music") it will not work to have different levels (as far as i know).
More infos about your system, firmware would help.

Hi, does anyone have an issue with using the voice button on the steering wheel with Android Auto? It used to work fine for me if I held it down until the voice prompt in AA popped up but recently it pops up and before I have a chance to speak it beeps and goes away again. So instead I have to click the microphone symbol in AA.

I've got a pixel 7 and had the issue in my 5 series with a Carlinkit MMI and then now in my X5 with a DroidUk (Roadtop) box

Hi, I am in a similar position as original post. Main difference my car is a 2019 X3 G01 NBT EVO, with OEM Car Play already active.

I intend on getting the latest MMI from Andream; can someone please clarify as to which software version, does not need AUX support for either calls or music, since my car is neither coded nor has an AUX port, only USB.

Since I am an Android user and my wife an Apple user. I would like to clarify a couple of details.

I would guess that if I do not link my wife´s Iphone to the MMI, she can still use seamlessly the OEM Car Play for that, while using the MMI for my Android device. (anyone with similar setup?)

I already have experience, with a Bimmertech MMI in my F25 with NBT, and both Car Play and Android Auto work wirelessly indistinctively of who is driving, but in that case all support is thru the MMI.

Help appreciated

Any newly bought Andream MMI should come with the latest firmware that does Bluetooth audio.

If you do not link your wife's phone to your MMI, she can use the OEM Carplay she already linked with.

Bimmertech's MMI is the same core hardware as Andream and Road Top.

It was ruined because I didn't update the firmware properly.

After looking everywhere I finally found the vendor of my MMI Tuning Solution Box (codes EWMCP-N726 and GPBM2022H-EVO).

I’ve been very lucky as it’ an Andream!

Having found it in my F39 used car (installed by previous owner) I don’t have an order number. In spite of this I decided to send an email asking if I could receive support the same. They were very kind to me sending the Customer Version Update (EW_E_1.6.16R2_n) and the update instructions.

Even if my native version was not so old (I had EW_E_1.6.14_n), differences with new one are clear: the box is faster especially in the Bluetooth connection to Android Auto (few seconds now, 30 seconds before).

Thanks to Julien and to all Andream team who supported me. Their after sale assistance has been very professional.

Hello!

I am a little bit lost. I found 2 places that sell MMI boxes for BMW f30.

One shop told me I have CIC iDrive, Andream support told me I have NBT.
Which one I should buy?

BMW 2012 335i f30

WBA3A91080F268754

I know, that iDrive was changed before I bought that car, but I don't know from that to that. From the screen, if it has a transparent box, it means CIC, but Andream support keeps telling me it is NBT

Can anyone tell me which system I have?

You have a CIC unit that uses the 6 pin connector (Same as NBT), that's why you have to use the NBT version of the mmi unit.

E Series CIC has the 4 pin Connector.
F series CIC has the 6 pin connector.

Hey everybody, does anyone have the Gold MMI box from roadtop?

It has a different menu, other than that, I'm not sure if it's a upgrade or not.

I have a pixel and while my stretch doesn't seem as bad as yours (F25 x3), I haven't found a solution yet. I've been just using it stretched, which bothers me less than having blank areas on the left and right of the screen from the scrap adjustment.

Android Auto SHOULD support any size screen, just like CarPlay does. From the threads linked below, it looks like Android relies on the car manufacturer to tell the phone what size display it should use. Otherwise the phone will use it's best guess, which may either not fill the screen, or may appear stretched. Our MMI devices must not be communicating screen resolution back to the phone the way it expects (it may not be their fault- who knows if the car allows them to detect the resolution first place!), so the phone standardizes the Android Auto resolution as close as it can estimate. I'm not sure how CarPlay gets around this, but Apple has a history of using their own non-standard methods to figure these things out.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidAuto...id_auto_fully/

https://support.google.com/androidau...r-screen?hl=en

There may be a way to mess with it in developer settings, but I'm not seeing an AndroidAuto setting in my developer settings. Next time I'm in my car I will connect and see if I AndroidAuto customizations pop up in developer settings.

Again, this is all a guess- I could be way off in how all of these thigns work so don't necessarily take my word for it.

hi guys, i have a bmw F20
here my current Andream info installed

EWM-BMCP-NBT04X
SDK Version: 25.0.0.7.0.0.2.0
CUST Version: EW_B2_V1.6.8_a_n
MCU Version: 21.6.7.116
HW Version: BMW_NBT2_1_G

all is working good, except the fact that periodically (at random) it loses the bluetooth pairing with my phone, and it's pretty annoying...
sometimes during bluetooth calls it just switch off (the call still going ok, but the screen just come back to original BMW, so i have to reboot it)

maybe an update can make it?
thanks

Anyone have a good recommendation on a rear view camera? Ecs has the Bremen for 29$ is it any good? Or is the PEMP ahd on amazon for 90$ the better option.
