I want to put the 8.8” screen but I don't know what reference I should buy. I do not mind that it is not touch, since I find it more comfortable to operate it through the rotary control. there is only one 8.8 part # listed - that is the part number you should search on ebay and buy.

go to realoem.com and enter in your vin and browse to audio/nav and see if 8.8 is listed. if so, you use the p/n and search around for it.

I have a 2017 F30 with basic HU & 6.5inch display(PN 9270393) want to upgrade to 8.8inch, I bought display from ebay( 6822626 ). Connected it, coded 2codes via Bimmercode but shows 'NO SIGNAL'. What could be the issue? Coding? Or did I buy wrong PN display.

I'm having almost the exact same issue.
I have a 2017 F20 with 6.5" screen (PN 9322121), and looking on realoem with my VIN, it shows PN 9387547 as the correct 8.8" screen upgrade. But on connecting the new screen I bought, coding the two entries in HU_NBT, I still get no signal. Frustrating.
Could it be because of the HU I have? It's from 2015/12, so maybe the voltage that is supplied to the display is pre-LCI spec, hence the recommended screen from 2017/2 will not work?

I am having some issues

I have ENTRYNAVEVO with ID6 on my 67 plate 330e

I have already coded in Apple CarPlay

Now, I have completed the 8.8in retrofit, part 6822626 from 2017 335d

The BMW side of things is fine:

I have coded

3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display
3005 APIX_CID > CID_DISPLAY_SIZE = 8.8
3005 APIX_CID > CID_DISPLAY_RES = 1280x480
3006 NAVIGATION > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION > 8.8=1280x480
3005 CARPLAY_FULLSCREEN > AKTIV


Carplay was installed using feature installer (fsc codes).

Now, for the Carplay, even though it was perfect on the 6.5 in screen, is appearing stretched, and jarring to the eyes. I have OCD so it’s really bugging me!

I tried coding back the Carplay_Fullscreen to Nicht_aktiv, but even in split screen it is stretched.

I am tired of this today so I will do it tomorrow, but is there anything I can do?

I can see there are more options in Bimmercode expert.

CARPLAY_SWT - currently set to nicht_aktiv
APPLE_ENHANCEMENTS - again, nicht_aktiv


Is there any workaround for this? I can’t see why it would be stretched. People with Pro nav got full screen, and this is the same screen? Surely it’s nothing to do with ENAV_EVO?

Can someone tell me what I need to get to upgrade my screen from the 6.5" display. It is a 2012 328i, euro spec based in the Caribbean. I can forward my VIN if needed for guidance. I am looking to retrofit a rear camera and also upgrade to the larger display screen, I have the basic entertainment, not HiFi or HK and I think to try and upgrade this would be a nightmare but I don't mind updating the headunit and screen along with the iDrive controller and include the rear camera. I have already run the wires for the rear camera just need to upgrade everything else.

Any help is appreciated.

lol - just read the thread. it clearly states numerous times you need to code in the bigger screen.

so, no, you can’t just plug in the 8.8 and expect it to work. you need esys or bimmercode to code in the change.
