Code spotify to stay open after takeoff

Is it possible to code apps including spotify to stay open after the car has started to drive off? It's a pitta having to pull over put the 328 into park, then apply the hand brake just so I can change a playlist.

Is there a way around this?

Edit: this is for a 2015 F30 328i m- sport package

That doesn't happen on my car.... You have a speedlock on the spotify app?

Not that I know of, have just checked the app on my iPhone and can't find a setting for a speed lock? Or are you talking about hidden somewhere in the idrive?

To note, I get the warning message every time I take the hand brake off, or move the gear selector out of park. Spotify becomes unavailable and a message is displayed saying:

For your safety: certain applications can only be used stationary" -

I mean are you saying that when you drive off your Spotify BMW app on the navigation screen locks?

Maybe thats an Australian regional thing? Most speedlocks can be coded out regardless.

Yeah exactly, have the spotify screen open and as soon as a drive off the screen disappears with the above warning and spotify cannot be selected by he idrive.

How would one code this out?

I think the SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX and SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN actually control more than just the DVD in Motion Speedlocks. It also removed the lock for adding a bluetooth phone while in motion on friend's car so I would try changing those values to FF if you are familiar with coding.

Thanks heaps for this. This will be the first time coding, I have ordered the cable and will attempt when it arrives. Does the above also disable the handbrake from triggering the app from been disabled? Because as soon as either the gear selector is move from park, or the hand brake is released the app is diasbled. This occurs before I even start moving

Have you successully removed the speedlock on the Spotify yet?
I am in the same boat with you and couldn't get rid of it. I already coded DVD in Motion with the aforementioned speedlock removed but no luck.

No I havent, my car is in the dealer whilst they try and sort out why the digital component of the dash flashes on and off. Will look at this after that.

It's sounds like it's region locked, as with all the other apps. Hopefully someone here can help with the unlocking

Use the search button on E-sys and look for other parameters starting with "Speedlock" and see if there are any other Speedlock conditions that you can set to "None".
