Best way to mix in E85?

When filling up, is it better to fill up a few gallons with pump gas, then add the e85, and then top off with pump gas? Or does it really matter what order to fill up?

Thanks

When my fuel level gets low i pump the e85 in first then go next door to fill up with 93. Only race track sells e85 here and i only use shell 93. I just feel it mixes better this way.

Luckily there is a station 10 minutes away with e85. I put in 4.5 gal e85 and then the rest 91. That's it. Simple.

Thanks guys. So do you need to add less e85 every time you fill up? I'm assuming since the tank isn't run all the way to empty, if you keep adding the same amount of e85 the concentration will eventually get higher

Order does not matter ... I always do 9 gallons of E85 and 4 gallons of 91 on my N54

I use this app, and after the first fill up you put the e% and gallons left on the tank on the calculation

+1

Bring tank down to almost empty and then add in your desired amount of E85 and then top up the rest with premium (best available) gas. 91/93/94, etc.
