Please do not ask me if it will work for this or that car. I am creating this torrent for you to download, please continue to seed so others can download as I will not keep it open indefinitely.

I cant attach torrent files as is so i have renamed the file *.pdf.
Download the file and then change the extension from .pdf to .torrent

Once done just double click on it and should start the download (assuming you already have utorrent program)

This is first time I am creating a torrent file so hopefully ive done it correctly!

This is just the map, you will still need to buy or create your own fsc.

There are instructions in this forum on how to create your own fsc, just search.

Please let others download off you once your download is complete, do not be a leech!

Followed pdf instructions and used an 8gb USB stick formatted in FAT32 - no other partitions, copied files to root - but unable to get the update prompt after inserting into center console port. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you plug it into a pc do you see this folder?

if so then thats your problem.

You should only have the following files:

1
config.nfm
NBT_AUSNZ_142161.3.112.pkg
NBT_AUSNZ_142161.3.112.pkg.sig

Yes, the 4 files sit on the root of the usb key.
The same usb key was used successfully to install ConnectedDrive update, so I know the usb key (Sandisk Cruzer 8GB - FAT32) can be detected and read from.

Is the car on when you plug in the usb?

I plugged mine in first, then pushed the start button (without the pressing the brake) and it detected the update.

Also, do you have 1 usb port or 2?

Some have a usb port in the glove compartment aswell, if so, try the one in the centre console

Thanks rednose - update successfully completed.
Compared your file list to mine and noticed the config file had an extra file extension which requires renaming back to original - config.nfm.
The rest was as you described using the center console USB port.

Hey mate, couldn't see any attachment that shows the steps to update. Can you share it once more please? Also, did you get the FSC code generator from the guy who's posted it in one of the bimmerpost forums?

To update you simply but the USB with the maps on it into your USB in your glovebox/console (which ever one it is), enter your code when asked.

You can generate your own code for free (there is a thread in the coding section telling you how to do it) or you can Dragon to create a code for you for $50US.

I really would love to get these maps and attempt to perform an update but I have tried to download them for a week and it doesn't start. Can someone help me, please, beg?

I bit the bullet and bought the 24 month subscription from BMW for AUD 160.

Price is close enough to buying the FSC/Download - most were at least USD 50 per update.

Obviously cheaper if you roll your own FSC and can get the download but a lot more reasonable than the past!
