Mystery Leak

Hi folks, went outside this morning and after backing up my car, noticed that there was this huge remnant of a leak underneath middle of car. Thought it was oil at first, but touched it and it was a clear, watery consistency. Put the car on ramps and saw something leaking from the front jack point hole, not sure what it could be. Coolant was below min (although not by much) so my thoughts are some hose broke, but I have not had a warning or high temps or anything of the nature. Any ideas?

Ignore the actual oil specks, those are from my 04 accord

I would suspect coolant. Have you checked the coolant lines going to the coolant tank. That is most common place for these cars to have failure

There is a recall on this so can get it fixed for “free” they will probably try to sell you a water pump or thermostat ect during the repair

I was doing some research and it looks like the recall is for th 4 cylinder engines, not the B58. Is that what you were referring to?

Yes I had to do coolant lines on b58 didn’t get a recall notice on that and wasn’t covered under regular warranty as it’s considered wear and tear normal
Maintenance. Maybe if it happened on a brand new super low miles car they will pay for it.

Open the hood and see if you can locate blue green coolant leak on top of the underbody panel. Then look at your water pump and hoses for white dried spots.

Thanks all. Looks like water pump is leaking from weep hole. Also noticed tensioner was very bouncy. Ordered both on FCP, going to do both while I'm in there.

If it's water it's probably from the AC, which drains into the drive shaft tunnel.
