Assuming that has to do with it being a 340i m performance muffler? Or is it a sound difference from the engine between N vs B series? I have a n26 and would love to have the look and sound of this exhaust. Seems like a cheaper route than aftermarket as well. From what I understand the 330i is SULEV same as N26. So does that mean you have a 2nd cat in your mid pipe? Finally, how did the 340i bolt up? Easy? |

I only remember seeing the cat and the resonator I wasn't looking for a second one. But yes my car is SULEV. I'll attach a pic from when it was on the lift. If anyone knows the answer to that please chime in. Install was super easy. Stock muffler was cut at the dimple on the pipe, then the M performance muffler slides right on and gets clamped down. No welding required. It can be adjusted from there. The video doesn't do this justice but it sounds mean. Cold starts too. Glad I did the exhaust as my first mod.

Full Detail to Celebrate 2 Years of Ownership
I performed a full detail beginning with a wash then a decontamination using Iron X (first two pictures) next was clay bar to fully decontaminate the paint. Then to polish (two photos showing paint clarity). After polish I applied a paint sealant (second to last picture with blue microfiber) then put two coats of carnauba wax on top of it to give it a showroom shine (final photo). Looks better than the day I bought it.

Pretty easy. You'll need the seats, 2 bolts, 2 seat release handle/cables and the detachable seat belt. Once you have all that it's plug and play.

After reading up on this forum I used a hex wrench to pop up the clips and it took me a total of 3 minutes to pop each grille out. So much easier than taking the bumper off and no risk of breaking anything. Car looks so much better. Rear spoiler is being painted at BMW as we speak and that will be installed over the weekend.
