Just finished up a 1000 mile road trip, ended up getting 36 mpg over the trip holding 83mph and close to 600 miles out of a tank, was very happy with the Sports seats as I had a 7 hour straight run without stopping and wasn’t sore at all. Fairly mountainous roads too, very impressed with the adaptability of the n55 between economy and performance.

That’s the last stage of a motorhead degradation, yes. Together with autonomous driving (also known as a Taxi) 😊 LOL

Got around to getting under my car to look around andaddressing the thrust bushing in the eps. Posted about it a few weeks ago, when the car is off and you turn the steering back and forth, there’s a noticeable clunk. Got the repair kit and took (cheap from Amazon) and did it today. Took about an hour but that’s cause I got sidetracked. Honestly wasn’t super difficult other than it being a tight area.
Here’s a video of the difference. Still some minor clunking but much better than before. Matched it pretty much exaclty to how it was coming out so I don’t think I messed up install. Going to take it out for a drive soon and see the difference A couple of other things I noticed, there’s a fair bit of oil coming from the charge pipe to intercooler. I know that the o ring inside is in there good, so I guess that means it’s time for a catch can? Anyone else have any ideas here? I also saw a tiny leak from the side of the transmission under this black cover

Swapped on the summer wheels, installed my front lip, chrome fender vents & gave her a wash. Dunno why but I'm not feeling the lip like I thought I would be. Maybe paint matching the 'fangs' might help a little bit (which was my original plan), but I'm thinking of selling it for a different style.

Took a chance on following this thread...
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...168747&page=22 Installed an MMI as well, but the install on the 10.25 screen was the real victory

yep, to the plastic on the screen. You STILL need to make very minor modifications to the dash. But so minor that if you put the original screen back, you dont notice a thing.

nice, yeah i did this mod too with a APIX2 touch screen (my posts are in that F15 screen thread you linked). i've been noticing more and more people are trying to find ways to do the mod without trimming thats why I asked.

I wish i found an APIX2 touch at a decent price. My experience so far with my MMI kit and Android Auto is its still a bit clunky with the rotary knob.

I added 6mm of spacers to rear wheels (stacked two 3mm spacers on each) to remove a whisper that the 513m OEM rims were causing on my 2017 340i. Not sure what the whisper was caused by. You could hear it (tick-tick-tick) in the cabin, but with the spacers the noise is gone, and the rear poke is also now even with the small (no spacers) poke of the fronts. Win-win.

how much are you finding them for? i used car-part.com, to look for junkyards with X5's and X6's, called them each one by one until I found one that just got a new X5 in. screen was mint, I paid about $600 I believe. but I say this to people all the time, I feel like this F15 screen mod is good for those that want to use the native navigation and BMW apps. was there a reason you went with an OEM 10.25'' screen over a whole new Android unit that comes with its own upgraded screen?

and APIX2 touchscreen, which is what I got. $600 is pretty much market price for those. also that screen you linked has scratches and is in terrible shape.

I managed to snag it below 200 on ebay because the shell had a crack on it. The good news is, the part that had a crack was part of what needed to be trimmed lol! so between that, and an MMI, i was in below 400. Quote:
if you have an NBT/evo, you cant use that without doing a voltage conversion Quote:

yeah all the vin locations are supposed to be in places that are hard for thieves to replace if the car is stolen.
