Just when I was warming up to the 335i GT... no 340 love?

So after extensive research, I've finally landed on the 335i GT, then BMW rolls out its 340i plans only to exclude the GT from them...

I've got another 18 months or so on my S4 lease, I'm inclined to just wait it out for a year to see if the 2017 model will be updated.

Anyone heard anything else?

The GT didn't get excluded. It's been released quite a while after the F30/31 and it makes sense, that it'll get its facelift later aswell. And i'm sure it'll get the new motors in a few years. We'll see, when.

The difference between the current 335i and the next gen 340i is only 20HP, though. You can get the same power by ordering the 335i and adding the M-Performance Power Kit released by BMW (you won't loose warranty). And the current motor in the 335i isn't bad at all. So don't think about it too much, wait what happens and be happy with your future F34

I'd wait until the new engine is well vetted before investing in it.

new engine dyno looks very impressive. basically sustains all that power over a longer range.
