Because they sell at MSRP or just a bit lower. Total ripoff and their sales dept. sucks. Service Dept is great, but their sales plain sucks.

BRAMEN BMW sometimes has lower rates than South Motors. Honestly tho go to the dealer closest to your home. You can negotiate the price and say that You're Loyal and are going to buy from them only if they can give you a price you want. Call other dealers and get quotes from them and negotiate of those figures. When you buy a car from the Dealer you get. Service priority, better service.

So I'm about to get a bare bones 335i sedan.
Sport Line - trying to keep the options off of it so the payment stays under $600 with tax.
So far I was able to pull that off, let's hope they honor the over the phone quote.

6-8 weeks until delivery.

Should I just use my miles and fly to Europe for ED?
Seriously -- I'm considering it

This thread is exactly what the doctor ordered. Great information! I can't wait to order my F31 touring as soon as they are available.

Is that with tax?
Sounds about close to what I was getting but my quote was $20 less per mo.(We've leased with them before)
What was your down payment quoted as? And I'm curious as to what options you had on there.

Hmm..sounds pretty competitive to me. Might be able to shave a slight bit off, but it's definitely not unfair and closer to "being a pretty good deal"
Not sure how much lower they can go on the 335's.

Where'd you get this advice?

By the way....

Putting multiply security deposits not only lowers your money factor (and is better than that money sitting in the bank), but that's your money at the end. With cap cost reduction, if your car is wrecked/stolen during the lease, you'll probably lose all of it.

Wow, that's a great deal. Can you tell me which dealer in Long Island you used? I live in NJ, but would be willing to go out to LI if I can get a similar deal

I'm not sure your financial advice was sound, nor your comment about leasing an expensive car through a business. Did your accountant tell you that?

You are wrong.

Braman didn't even want to TALK to me after I told them the deal I was getting (see below) -- I talked to other dealers and they said "Braman has the highest profit margins of any dealer in South Florida" -- AKA: They aren't going to make you a deal on new vehicles.
South Motors was trying to be competitive with me, and had I gone with them, they may have given me the deal I wanted but I had to go up to Broward to find a deal instead.
And when I say Braman didn't even want to talk to me, this is how the conversation went:

Me: "Hey I got quoted $1200 over invoice over the phone -- I want to see what you guys can do?"
Braman: "Oh wow. I would take that deal if I were you. I don't think I can even match that."
----right off the bat, this is the attitude he had. They aren't even trying to make the sale to people that want to haggle in the least. There are enough rich people in Miami that they will still meet their quotas -- they just won't be as highly esteemed as a handful of dealers are in Broward County.

So my deal was:

335i Sport Line
Mineral Grey
Black leather
6speed MT
Harmon Kardon package

MSRP: 47,945

36 months/10,000 per year
$700 over invoice

$2,350 down payment (includes first months payment)
$500 deposit upon ordering.

Lease: $591

German build -- got the last slot.
I think I got a pretty sweet deal?

Money factor: 0.00195
Down Payment I edited it in above: $2350.
I just put $500 down so I have $1850 due at pickup.

Am I missing anything else?

I got mine for 580, 12000/month for 36 months with 2000 down. Not sure if that's a good lease payment. I don't know my MF, residual value etc. The car's MSRP was 47000 but I was able to get 2500 discount.

What do you mean by MSDs?

I'm pretty stoked -- the wait is going to be very odd because its such a delayed feeling of gratification that it hasn't hit me yet, but I'm definitely stoked.

Dealer mentioned that when you track the vehicle though, they tend to display the color as being something different than what you ordered, and sure enough that's what happened based on my production number.

Either way, I am counting the days until April!
I'm trying to live vicariously through any 335 test drive videos that are out there and I think I've seen them all already.
