Wish they would give us the M-Perf parts, but leave the stickers at the factory.
This was the biggest struggle I had when ordering the M Sport package...the poser factor. They could make certain parts/accessories exclusive to the M Sport without having to stick the badge everywhere.

The M sport line should have just been the standard sport line.

BTW, I'd say lose the ///M badge. 335i is enough.

Fortunately most of the badges are internal. I think the only ones on the outside are on the tailpipes, and those are engraved and hard to see.

If the car comes with it, so be it.

If you add M badges to your car you're just being a poser, sorry.

Nope, no M badges unless it's an M car.

My car only has M badges on the inside, would prefer if it had none to be honest. But BMW has been doing M appearance packages for decades now.

I put duct tape over all of my M badges so I can be cool like the other kids. I don't like haters.

I also pull the ///M badges off of my ///M cars just in case there's some misguided soul who mistakes them for non-M cars and tries to set them on fire - again. About the only way I'd even consider leaving them on is if I was able to source a clear hood. THEN I'd know I'm safe.

Your biggest struggle on purchasing a car was your fear of what other people thought of you?

True fans who see the M badge will know its not an M car. Moderate BMW fans may be confused into thinking its an M car. Normal people will not really know or care what the M means.

So basically, whats the point of putting the badge on?

I get the same thing. I didn't anticipate constantly having to explain that my car is NOT an "M" but instead has an "M" cosmetics package. It gets a little tiresome. Love my car to death though!

OP, remove the "M" badge. Your car is not an "M". It's an awesome car in it's own right that doesn't deserve the indignity of pretending to be something that it's not.

Funny you should raise this poll. Just the other day I noticed my neighbour put an M badge on their debadged E46. First reaction was check for flared wheel arches, then look for the gills. As soon as both were absent I concluded "wannabe tosser".

I am new to the brand and consider myself your typical layperson atm. Cant claim to be an afficionado like most members of this forum. So if a layperson like me can come to this conclusion... Remove it

Tho I had almost everything from M Performance incl. the M bodykit and stuff, I din wanna put a //M there, its just not a M3 so just leave the 335i badge or whatever it is. I'm even contemplating to remove all emblems to leave a clean look

Hawt dammit, really hating people that is dictating on what we do to our cars.

I mean, we are all family here. What we should focus our anger is on people with non BMW posing as a M-Car.
