Anyone actually happy with f30??
I've owned my Melbourne red 335i M sport for around 2 weeks now and still running it in, I know some people disagree with running in new cars but its my personal preference and we have had snow since I took delivery so thought I'd have to take it easy in such weather anyway.
The point of this thread is I'm surprised at the amount of dissatisfied owners there are out there, I know the f30 has its foibles as all cars do but I love my car and I'm proud to be able to own such a nice car, in fact I didn't even test drive the car when I bought it! Are you happy with yours??? |

Yes.
The internet is the place where people go to complain. If you walked into a room of friends and started complaining about the slight color mismatch of your rear bumper, they would probably look at you with their heads cocked and say "Are you seriously complaining about something that no one in their right mind could notice when you drive a $40k+ car? I drive a Toyota Camry with duct tape holding the side view mirror on you jerk" So in order to have a place to complain about these typically insignificant things, the internet was invented. A forum of people talking about how much they love their cars is boring.

Don´t miss my E90 M Sport one bit, 3½ months and 5300 miles covered already. Car is just great.
I don´t think you should see it that way, people are better at complaining than anything else and this is an internet forum - perfect place for trying to get help with some problem, or simply for whining. Edit: Can you hear the echo?

I suppose it also depends on ones life, if you've always had new cars and never been in a position where a£50 scrapper has been your pride and joy then maybe you wouldn't appreciate a brand spanking new bmw the same, to fully appreciate the good you must also have experienced the rough...

[QUOTE=Cyberdemon;13396517]First world problems.
Everything's amazing and nobody's happy So true, I looked up some 0-60 times of old Ferrari's. Do you realize a 1993 Ferrari 348 does it in only 5.5 seconds? 20 years on and we're driving affordable 4 door sedans that are faster and gets better mileage. Try thinking back to that time if you were around and how amazing it would be to know in 20 years you could own a car with that kind of performance.

I can't speak for everyone, but I love my new car. However, I have this delusion of absolute, perpetual perfection for this brand new shiny fast thing I just bought... So if there's anything less than perfect, sure I'll bitch a bit about it, figure out how to fix it and go on driving in bliss again.
For instance, I just noticed my hood somehow went out of alignment. just noticeable if you have a reasonable attention to detail. It makes me self conscious! So, I'm having it fixed friday, new black grills installed, full wash inside and out, and I'll feel like I just got into it new again! So, just a little different than Louis C.K. and his gripes about how we all take everything for granted. lol |

I am in love with my F30 M Sport X drive. I have a G37 and an X5. The G37 is on its way out. Every time I drive the 335i I just can't believe how much power this thing has. I rarely put it in sport mode on the highway because I feel it's making too much power. I prefer sport mode when doing city driving and I can listen to the bubble. Compared to the G37 this m sport is more tossable. It feels light on its feet and very precise. I can add a page of great stuff it does better. I mention the X5 because I read a lot about how the F30 steering is numb or how it's throttle is non responsive. I drive my N55 X5 back to back with my F30 and I know it's all just hogwash. The E70 setup is different from the F30 set up but both are very entertaining to drive.
I also like the DHP which makes it easy to turn when parking and tightens things up when in sport mode. It's like 2 cars in one In winter my X5 does 18mpg, my G37 did 16-7mpg a d the new kid on the block does 22.6mpg and she is yet to be fully broken in.

The complaints on this forum are nothing compared to those of other brands/models.

Love my car, had it since May and have 15k on it! I had Audis before this and I have to say I think that I love the 335i (first brand new car) more than them, even though I live in New England and my 335 is rear wheel drive.

The f30 is the best 3 series I've ever had IMO. It's the best complete package. I can finally choose when I'm in the mood for a nice smooth ride or nice and stiff. I've had 1 328i, 3 330i's, 1 e90 335i, and now this. Anyone behind the wheel of the proper 335i for a couple weeks will fall in love. It's usually the people who don't have them that dislike them the most. It's very quick, agile, looks gorgeous with msport, and its interior is very usable and luxurious.
