My CA, who does a large volume of European deliveries, told me today that "BMW changed their policy about port installed accessories...they no longer install them for European deliveries."

This came up today as we were finalizing details of my lease payment for my ED next Friday. I had wanted the M Performance Power Kit installed on my 435xi at the port so that it could be residualized into the lease payment. No go. If I still want it, I can do it as an accessory at the dealer (after taking delivery in the U.S.), but it can't be built into the lease.

Is your ED a MY14 car? If MY15 also note the changes BMWNA made to scheduled maintenance for MY15 cars delivered after 7/1/14

Ask them to install the MPPK in Munich before you take delivery. Certainly one policy change should counter with a fix from another side??

Thanks. Yes, it is MY14. Any "modifications" made in Europe would have to be uninstalled before dropping off for shipment to the states, so I am not optimistic about installation in Munich.
