Nice find! After much thought and staring at that crap halogen housing on my car, I pulled the trigger on a pair. I'm a little concerned about the bumper removal but it can't be that hard. These are different, but for 400 bucks it's not a bad option. Will report back in a week or two with pics.

Goon - Definitely post up pics once installed. Did you go with black or chrome? Also, are they really only $399 for a pair AND no core charge? Damn if true. You could probably sell your halogens on eBay for the same price.

I went with black as I have AW as my color. There was a $32 shipping charge which is high but not unreasonable if I get them within a week. I will post pics once installed.

Though I'm a fan of the red/black look on many F30's I feel like the chrome headlights look as close to OEM as possible. I really wish the LED day running lights on these looked more OEM as well.

I trust these will hold up fine as Eagle Eyes are the true manufacturer. They make good quality headlights in Taiwan. My only fear are the LED day running lights. In the stock F30 headlights, if you use LED DRL bulbs, they blink every 5 minutes when the car checks if the lights burned out or not. I don't want these flickering in the same manner.

Can anyone who bought these from MARS Australia or Alibaba confirm if the LED DRL's flicker?

eBay seller OP posted responded to my question about DRL flickering. He/she claims the headlights have resistors built in to prevent flickering during the bulb checks.

Question

399$ seem definitely worth. Any estimates of how much it might cost to install this thing at a local dealer or someone like Motorwerks?

Is there any talk of the connectors? If it's factory plug-n-play, that is pretty tempting...

It's factory plug and play like the default headlights.

I'm trying to get quotes on installation from local european auto shops in town. From other users who've done it, it's estimated to be a 1-2 hour job.

I was literally going to buy the chrome ones just to see, but they've been sold and the seller only has them listed for factory Xenon.

Is the buyer on this thread? If so, can you post pics once installed?

There are two sellers with these. Here is the link to the other one. They still have chrome in stock.

noob question, would these be brighter than the stock halogens. I find the halogens very dim and the Xenons that come with the BMW seem to be brighter. Apart from the appearance of the angel eyes does this add greater brightness. How much for a dealership on average to put these on?

There's a guy who has these a few pages back within this thread. The pictures do look brighter with these headlights. I would imagine the light dispersal would be a lot better with projector lenses, versus plastic reflectors in the OEM halogen lights.

My old toyota camry had basic halogen lights inside of projector lenses, and they hands down beat the F30's standard halogen headlights. I'm hoping these work as nice, if not better.

You would think black, because of some other trims in the car but I would get chrome, they just look better in the pic

Hi

I just installed mine this weekend

Pulling the bumper off is not so bad

Getting to the 2 screws behind the stock units are horrific

Getting everything back the way it was, well it was a bitch

However, these lights.... they crush the stock halogens. I'm very satisfied with them. I was even able to use my upgraded LED turn signals and white h7 halogen lights for even a better look. Fitment is great, no errors at all.

Pics aren't that great because it was dusk, I'll try some daytime shots tomorrow

Did you have to code out the turn signal? Why not an hid kit in those projectors? The new headlights do look great btw. Much better than the stock halogens
