F30 changing to 2nd issue?

Hello,

I have a 65 plate 318d M sport which as I downshift into 2nd the revs spike up with the clutch depressed fully. Is this normal?!

I couldn't say with any confidence that what your car is doing is normal but I can tell you that on the latest F30 with manual gearbox the car will blip the throttle with downshifts to help match engine speed to the selected gear. You may have already been aware of this.
