Sorry for the strange title but I play media from a USB stick and apart from the car randomly not picking up the stick in which case I have to unplug and replug it back in another annoyance is it never returns to exactly where it previously was. So the current song will continue but it never goes back to the cover art screen where it previously was so I then have to press the office controller.

Not the end of the world and was wondering if there is a fix or setting for this?

Here's my experience: Upon the car's startup, the album art almost never shows on the first song. (The next song's cover is always fine.) But, I'm playing songs from the car's hard drive, so the song will continue where it left off, from the last time the car was running.

Whether I drive the car 2 minutes and shut it off, or I drive it 2 hours and shut it off, the next time I start car will result in a blank album cover. Yes, it irks me a little.

I don't know a solution to this.

Oh so it’s the same for you and not a specific problem with my car. Didn’t realise that with the next song it goes to the album art, I’ll leave it and see if mine does the same.

Also just realised that I should have posted this in the idrive section, DOH!
