Lookin' good. Hard to believe you did all that by hand. Invest in a RO. I have a porter cable and I keep an extra as a backup in case one fails

Ha thanks. Yes for sure, I need to get the right tools to do this more often and with less effort!

No real changes lately... Here are my updates:

1. Getting my front and rear bumper completely repainted covered by warranty. This will be a good chance to cover up the front license holes I had from Cali. Also, hoping to get a clear bra put on after this is done to ensure the front end continues to look fresh moving forward.
2. Sometime this summer (I hope) I will be painting my wheels gunmetal. Likely going to DIY with Autodip.
3. DINAN sport tuner will be purchased sometime this summer as well.

Did I see you bought a sport then sold it?

Hope all is well!

Yes, I did. It arrived from DINAN and the next day I shipped it to it's new owner.
Just other things going on right now and I rarely push the car much so figured the money could be spent elsewhere for now...

I did get the car back from having the bumpers resprayed, it looks amazing.
Looking at options for a clear bra and by summers end, doing the full AMMO NYC exterior detail.

Still want to paint the OEM wheels gunmetal too.

I really enjoy the control I have now that the paddles work, its alot more fun to drive on back roads in full manual mode. Also, the "sports tranny" shifts alot harder/quicker and makes for a much more sporty feel.

Very pleased.

Only thing that was strange is the car is suppose to downshift to lowest gear available if you hold the left paddle....and mine doesnt seem to do that?
Did anyone figure out the left paddle downshift issue? Also did you drill with a 5/15 bit and use a chalk marker to mark where to drill? Thanks!

Hey. Did not figure it out unfortunately..
Hasn't been that big of a deal thought. I rarely use paddles, just just if I find myself in back roads with go turns where I want to control the gear I'm in. However coding to sport transmission made a huge difference.

Don't remember the bit unfortunately but there is a video online with a DIY.

Not much done in a while. Just been doing my best to keep the car clean etc.
Moved into our new house a month ago and have been focusing on my garage build, ill likely post up a thread on that once I get some more stuff done.

Added m235i mirror caps, I think they look great.

Would like to add a front lip and paint my wheels sometime in the near future. AWE quad exhaust is still on my "wish list".

Snapped this photo leaving work yesterday!

Been over three years, here is a bit of an update...

Bought and installed DINAN exhaust a few years back, still running it today. Happy overall but wish it was a bit louder at high RPMs. Though its never going to sound like a 335i/340i so ill just need to get over that.

Bought and sold a DINAN sport tune. Ran that for a year. It was fun but I got bored. Plus ended up hurting my back and needing surgery, so for almost 2 years I had no interest in the car. No WOT pulls. Wasnt able to wash her etc. Pleased to confirm im all good now and motivated to get back into the swing a things..

Recent changes:
BM3 Stage 1: Just installed over the weekend. Very similar from what I remember to DINAN SPORT. Seems like a bit more power and better drivability. Coming from VW tuning back in the day and needing to go to a tuning shop TO NOW being able to flash in my garage was...so cool!!
- Stage 2? Not sure. I really want to keep the car running healthy and not push to the limit. But seems an extra 25hp+ with the jump so... maybe someday.
- FMIC & CP? Absolutely. GA heat soak is no joke. Likely going for VRSF HD Comp. Assuming I should wait until Black Friday?
- Car oil temp goes up moreso than stock when im getting on her hard. Is that normal?
- Had a weird smell like burning plastic or something if I push the car hard... I did select OTS for burbles with my stage 1. And i am n26 with 2 cats... I had assumed that BM3 made it safe to run OTS burbles with some cats but... what do you all think?

Exhaust: Thinking about changing to a 335i DINAN set up, for looks only. The rear end looks way better vs. the single side exhaust of 328i.. Just going to be hard finding a used DINAN exhaust to snag as im not spending $1000+ on a new one.

Suspension: Would be great to lower the car a bit. Not too much to get springs but thinking it would be wise to upgrade shocks/struts when installing springs given im at nearly 100K miles. If i do, the price jumps up a bunch...

Exterior: Looking at Kies rep front lip. Best time to get Black Friday Sale? Reason I want to go with his is because it seems closest to OEM as it relates to that front/middle piece that connects to bottom bumper. Most reps either dont have this piece or it is super small and towards the back. I really like how that part looks OEM as it adds more dimension to the look.

Tail lights: Bought red GTS style OLED lights (V2). Been wanting LCI talights for years. When I saw these, I had to jump. Though worried that they might look too aggressive with my relatively stock m-sport set up... Hopeful to install next week.

Overall...
Would love to run out and get a m240i / 340i with a manual and mod that. So much more potential with those engines vs. N26. But with prices so high right now, I cant justify it. So ill keep playing around with the 328i.
