Thanks, this time next week I hope to have lots more photos to add onto this thread.

I am with my car already and I've not even got it yet. Sometimes you have to take a risk and this one has definitely paid off!

I've had a quick play with the photo settings to try and bring out the colour a bit better.

The cost went up by:

Tanzanite Blue £1360
Cashmere Beige £1215
High Gloss Piano black trim £375

Total increase £2950 (approx $4660)

Let's hope my wife doesn't read this

I've never had leather in a car so for some reason I've gone for the lighter shade. I can see a regular clean and treatment OCD routine starting

I'll have to implement a strict dress code - no jeans or trainers

I was thinking about getting Tanzanite blue on an F31 m-sport wagon but it's doesn't look as exciting in clouded weather to justify the extra money.
Maybe more pics in different weather/situations/angles could still convince me

I may be a bit biased but after seeing it on the car the colour is a lot more impressive than the photos. I wasn't disappointed when I saw it that's for sure. The combination of the camera, the weather, the delivery dirt and the cramped parking lot at the dealership obviously haven't brought out the best the colour has to offer.

I pick the car up on Saturday so once I've had a drive and a play with all the various gadgets and buttons the car has to offer I'll have another go at taking more photos. Of course, it may be a long drive and there are a lot of gadgets and buttons so it may take me a while

Just a few snaps that I've manages to take today. I'll try to add some more later if there's still enough daylight

Thanks rjberry,

The colour does look good! Reminds me of my old Orient Blue, but maybe a bit more lighter/blue. Does the car still look blue when its in the shade?

I will probably have a look at a EBII in person soon.

Enjoy it!

Lovely colour......very similar to my R33.....Deep Marine Blue.....I was tempted, but not at the cost.

BTW, I'm sure the price was £810 on an M Sport, as you already get metallic as standard ?????

(F30) Official TANZANITE BLUE F30 Photo Thread

Got to the dealership this morning at about 9:15 and finally took it home at about 11:45. A great deal to learn about this new toy!

First impressions are that the paint is incredible! It's a colour that looks incredible when you see it. The paint is full of flake and glistens giving off different hues of blue. My car was parked in the showroom and as I was going through all the paperwork there were plenty of admirers

Inside the merino leather is beautiful. It's so soft and comfortable. The combination of new car smell and leather is worth bottling, that way I'd be able to buy all the BMWs I wanted The idrive is actually very straightforward and fairly intuitive. It will take some getting used to where all the different things are and how to work it all but that's half the fun.

VSS is great, the adaptive suspension is great, the surround view cameras are a bit weird to look at first of all, the comfort access is possibly my favourite and I have even managed to successfully open the boot (trunk) on all times I've tried. HUD is superb, that is also competing for favourite toy. The HK system blew me away, the sound that was pumping out of that was so much better than I've been used to.

I've got a few photos from when I got home and then a few more before I took it for a proper drive. Unfortunately the sun went in so they may not fully show the potential but there will be another day to take some more

Anyway, loads of photos of the exterior and interior to enjoy

That is absolutely beautiful. I really hope they start pushing the individual program here in the states, because I would love to see that color in real life.
