Will 225/45/18 fit my 435i?

I bought a set of square 225/45/18 XI3 tires for my 435i and was told by the shop that since the rear are staggered, there is no way he can fit the the 225 tire on those rims...is that true?

225s are fairly narrow tires, especially for a car with power such as yours..

They are just winter wheels and the car merely a daily driver for work.

the 225/45/18 will fit with stretch on the 8.5" rear. there's numerous peeps running 225/45/18 square winter tires on the oem staggered 18". if you do a search you'll find a few threads on the topic.

personally i'd up the size to 235/45/18 so the rear aren't as stretched and you have more sidewall for impact and ride. however i'm not sure what brand/model of winter/snow are available in this size..

Yeah unfortunately I already purchased the Xice XI3 in 225/45/18 all the way around. But 2 shops have told me now that they can’t stretch them due to liability

Just saw that. I won’t be returning to either shop. They must not have even looked anywhere but the stock rear tires

I run 18X8 up front and 18X8.5 on the rear, all wrapped in 225/45/18 DWS06's on 400m wheels, zero issues.
