South Motors was trying to be competitive with me, and had I gone with them, they may have given me the deal I wanted but I had to go up to Broward to find a deal instead.
And when I say Braman didn't even want to talk to me, this is how the conversation went:

Me: "Hey I got quoted $1200 over invoice over the phone -- I want to see what you guys can do?"
Braman: "Oh wow. I would take that deal if I were you. I don't think I can even match that."
----right off the bat, this is the attitude he had. They aren't even trying to make the sale to people that want to haggle in the least. There are enough rich people in Miami that they will still meet their quotas -- they just won't be as highly esteemed as a handful of dealers are in Broward County.

So my deal was:

335i Sport Line
Mineral Grey
Black leather
6speed MT
Harmon Kardon package

MSRP: 47,945

36 months/10,000 per year
$700 over invoice

$2,350 down payment (includes first months payment)
$500 deposit upon ordering.

Lease: $591

German build -- got the last slot.
I think I got a pretty sweet deal?

What was the final amount you paid for the car? How much are you paying in state taxes?

I got a question about the MSD, if you put it up for the lease, then at the end you decide to purchase the lease instead of turning it in, will they still give you back the MSD money, then let you finance the rest of the payments? Or do they keep the MSD if you decide to buy the leased car?

The MSDs will always be returned unless you fail to make your lease payments or return the car with significant damage (higher then your MSDs). If you choose to buy the car at the end thats your option but you will get your MSD back regardless of what you decide to do.

I'm pretty stoked -- the wait is going to be very odd because its such a delayed feeling of gratification that it hasn't hit me yet, but I'm definitely stoked.

Dealer mentioned that when you track the vehicle though, they tend to display the color as being something different than what you ordered, and sure enough that's what happened based on my production number.

Either way, I am counting the days until April!
I'm trying to live vicariously through any 335 test drive videos that are out there and I think I've seen them all already.
You got a solid deal. When you say 700 over, you aren't including their dealer fee right? Anyway they also gave you the bank rate on the Money Factor. Are they adding profit to the Acquisition fee...is it over 725? Do the maximum MSDs so you can save 40-50 bucks a month and you are all set to go.

My parents got their 5 series over there some months ago for 850 over including the dealer fee. Good people, did you work with a salesman or just submit a proposal to Malcolm?

It says Bank fees: 925 Dealer fee: 599

I put $500 down on a total of a $2300 down upon inception deal.

Not sure how much more I can go, maybe when they have the promotion once the boat arrives with all the ordered F30's.

This was European Delivery, right? The car looks awesome (saw your trip report on b-fest).

When you mention $1k in dealer profit, was that 1k plus 199 doc fee or 800 plus 199 doc fee (1k inclusive).

Use BMWconfig.com to figure out the number.

$199 doc fee exclusive. $1000 over ED invoice.

I got the quote from a local BMW down in South Florida and the same car cost over $600 a month as they charge $699 dealer fee and going $1000 under MSRP not $1000 over Invoice and mark up on the Money Factor. Do your math and you will always find a great deal. Keep in mind that the residual are calculate base on US Retail MSRP which is why lease on ED car is super cheap and BMW Financial made 1 free payment for you while your car is being ship over.

In the end ED save you money even if you fly over there pick up the car and fly back the next day. Also consider joining BMWCCA.org and you get $500 to $1000 rebate cash each year you buy or lease a BMW.

Adrian Avila out of South Atlanta BMW does that deal on 335i sedans, $1k over invoice, base money factor and base lease acqusition fee, and $199 doc fee. That may be who he used. I did a PC delivery on a car I ordered from him. Great guy and extremely knowledgable.

BMW Lease newbie here. Two things, what's a European delivery? What does MSD stand for? I noticed that the Euro invoice prices are vastly cheaper than US MSRP. ALso, I thought the EURO was higher than the US dollar? :-) Just a bit confused.

Use the search function here for questions first or others will beat you senseless.

European Delivery: taking possession of your new car in Munich. You drive it around for the length of your stay, then they put it on a boat to the US for you. Since they are exporting a used and not new car, you get an additional 7% off of MSRP in addition to whatever else you can negotiate.

MSD: multiple security deposits. They reduce the money factor on a lease and are fully refundable unlike a down payment (cap cost reduction).

DON'T DO IT!

BMW is VERY generous with dings and scratches. They allow up to 2 PER panel up to 1" long. Typical wear and tear is NOT charged by BMWFS.
BMW is one of the best cars to lease, and much of that is because of how generous BMW is with lease turn in's.

Any big damage you can get fixed by your insurance co.
I would NOT get this coverage unless you know you don't take care of your cars and you'll be getting huge dents and seat tears.
This a dealer profit program.
