Telematics equipment can only be issued and provisioned by BMW. Theoretically, you can install one from a donor but your vehicle will take on the donor's telematics identity. This is not recommended.

Unfortunately we are currently only offering this retrofit to US and Canadian market vehicles.

We do have converted ID5 units that will work on your vehicle but you will lose ConnectedDrive.

Steve, would someone be able to take the telematics from a donor car with iDrive 5 or 6 and replace the telematics in a car with iDrive 4 so that all the features like connected drive and sirius still work?

With today's Apple announcements (WWDC 2018 - 6/4/18) Carplay will now allow for Waze and Google Maps to be enabled with iOS12! Now I am super interested in upgrading my iDrive4 to iDrive6!

My Car Specs:
- Model Year: 2016 BMW M3 (F80)
- Navigation
- Audio: Harmon Kardon
- Location: USA

This appears to be an E60. Unfortunately, your vehicle does not meet the requirements to have this retrofitted.

PM me with the last 7 digits of the VIN.

If you have DAB or TV Tuner however, you will not be able to use those options on a US unit. Also I'm not entirely sure if you will retain ConnectedDrive so we would have to find out.
