Could it be an M335i....you know, now that BMW is whoring out the "M" logo to everything? Saw a 640 gran coupe at my local dealer with an M steering wheel and M door sills.

I was thinking the same. 335i with all "M" parts. Dude still sounds like a moron though.

This is not really new. There was an M535 around 1980, the 325i M sport from around 1989, and the 318ti M-technic. There may be others I'm missing. Their whoring of the "M" logo certainly seems to be at an all time high, so you point is definitely valid. I've been a BMW fan since I was a teenager and have owned six in the past 15 years, 3 of which are M's. I'm not going to say this will be my last one, but I think it may be difficult to top the E9X as I am not a fan of turbochargers, the heat and reliability issues they bring to the table and the lack of linear power.

...as others have said, most likely a new 335 with M package. Now as far as the power stated...just say no to crack!

He started talking about how it had 450hp and 500hp with M settings and that it makes his old e92 feel like Hyundai. I asked him why there was a 5 next to the 3 and he said that it was because it has the same technology as the new M5 (something about shared engine mapping and tuning). The thing is he had an M3Post.com sticker on the rear window so he has to be on here. Where are you M35 guy? I have more questions to ask you. Why didn't you let me take a picture of your new M3?

I should also mention that it had a weird looking front bumper. Never seen anything like it before. Who knows maybe he does have the new M3?

It's one thing for some buffoon to put an M badge on something that doesn't deserve it...it's another for a multi-billion dollar corporation to do the exact same thing and keep a straight face.
