Finally picked up the new 440i xDrive M-Sport Gran Coupe in Estoril Blue.

Ordered 12/27/16, Delivered 4/1/17.

I'm happy now of course, but holy crap is that wait something else!

2017 340i xDrive Cold Weather, Driving Assistance (and the plus), lighting, m sport, tech and track. Estoril Blue with the 398 mix perf non runflats, spoiler, apple, black kidney grills and stainless steel pedals.

Production acquired: 2/28
Entered production: 3/8
Left production: ~3/15
On ship: 3/21-3/22
Scheduled arrival to Port Hueneme: 4/21 (Ship is Themis from W&W)
Dealer ETA for pickup in CO: 4/28-4/30 (adding tint, protective wrap and dinan)

About 70 days. Was expecting 3+ months.

Overall very happy with the experience.

Began Production 2/2
Production Complete 2/10 --> Cool!
On a boat from SA to Bremerhaven to Brunswick, GA--> arrived 4/5 (yes more than 2 months after production complete --> not Cool!)

Destined for Port of Elizabeth NJ --> due there 4/13. Port installed options to be installed there. then on a truck for the Dealer in CT. Expect 4/20-25 deliv. 3.5 months from order to deliv. Hoping the car is really worth it!

what did you order again? SA allocation was all your dealer had available or did you select it over germany for any reason?

ordered 340i xdrive 6MT, Msport, track, Nav, MPPSK,splitter and black kidneys. I didn't request Germany or SA build. Wound up w/SA build - really not unhappy about that as that factory gets the highest build quality rating. Just wish it had come directly to North America instead of stopping in 5 different ports in northern Europe - added 4 weeks easy.

yeah i was reading about the SA delays before ordering and was hoping for germany which seemed overall more "direct". glad to hear your delay is only 4 weeks though as there are some who wait much longer! your build will be a blast i'm sure!

Yeah I'm assuming with unloading the ship and installation of the port items, the car will spend about 1.5-2 weeks at the port before shipping to the dealer. Expecting to get my car around the week of 24 Apr....very similar to both of your builds. 2017 340i MSport XDrive, 6MT, BSM w/ Coral, 442s, Track Pack, MPPSK, Nav, CF Spoiler, Black Grilles, etc. I already the M-Perf front splitter and rear diffuser sitting in my garage, probably ordering CF mirror caps tonight. Meanwhile, enjoying my last rides with the STI. On and on it goes, fellas....

So my ship landed in Brunswick, Georgia yesterday and then went down to Jacksonville FL and then is heading to the Panama canal. I assume my car was offloaded in Brunswick. According to the genius it is due in Port of Elizabeth, NJ on the 13th which is 6 days from now. Genius had no info on how the car gets from Georgia to NJ. I assume it's getting on another boat, but maybe it's on a truck? It is going to spend some time getting some options installed in Port facility in NJ. Anybody care to hazard a guess how it gets to NJ?

For some reason the marine traffic website won't provide an updated status--I'm assuming you have to pay to get the real time data? It was slated to arrive yesterday but haven't heard from my dealer yet. He's usually pretty good at letting me know when there's a status update. My car is on the vessel, Tijuca. Will keep you posted though! Hoping yours doesn't get delayed!

not at all, I see it arrived today at 9 something AM. just search by vessel name and search route forecast, or past track. or you can search the other site I posted for status. I'm not paying and you get 30 notifications free.

That's strange I just searched it the same as I've been doing all week and now it has an updated status. For the entire week it was "out of satellite range"...ah well, at least it's here!
