That's strange I just searched it the same as I've been doing all week and now it has an updated status. For the entire week it was "out of satellite range"...ah well, at least it's here!
awesome man, I'm excited for you !

The excitement is building:

'17 340xi Munich Build

Ordered 2/24
Production number received 3/6 (CA really dragged his feet on this)
Started Production 3/28 (CA wasn't forthcoming that production would be 1 month delayed, week 14 build, estimated completion 4/7)
In body shop 4/4
In paint shop 4/5
Production completed 4/6
En route to port of exit 4/7
At port of exit 4/10... and we wait for an east coast bound ship.

Patience has not been easy so far!

Argh . . . the long wait begins

Technically ordered a 340i (RWD) on 3/29. Dealership didn't have an open allocation slot for a RWD 340i so i had to wait a little bit. Looks like they got one as I'm in status 112 now. Build week 20 (May 15th). SA build. Looks like I won't be seeing the car until early/mid-June. I hope that doesn't cause issues with my financial services lock, as I did max MSDs and locked in under the pretty good March leasing terms.

Nothing yet on the one shippers site. Any other way to get details besides contacting the dealer?

I've used the sticky thread to track but never got many details as listed in the thread.

Garage List
I've got a 17 328d Wagon ordered to replace a soon to be bought back VW. Thing is I didn't want it to go quick. I wanted to get the car at the end of June. Dealer said it would take awhile to get an allocation and get it built. Ordered it March 20th thinking it'd be a bit before it even got an allocation. Just found out it has just sailed out of Bremerhaven

Hopefully it gets to Puerto Rico in mid to late April.
Update:

Apparently the car was headed to Brunswick after Baltimore and dropped off on the VPC on April 11th. It is now waiting for another vessel for its final trip to Puerto Rico. I can't wait!

I'm on the same timeline as you. 340i SA build finished prodction 4/6 and is waiting a vessel. My dealer origionally told me I'd see it by may 1st (that's obviously not happening) and now is saying May 15th/ish that it will be arriving in the USA... According to another thread I read it will probably be more like may 30th until it arrives at USA port.

BMW Genius's told me it could be on the water for atleast 6 weeks and I may not see it until July... so, who knows =/

Being I'm in nj I suspect you are right. I haven't asked my dealer for shipping details. While I am excited to get the car I'm driving my diesel vw for free until it comes in. Once I get details on the shipment I'll send you a pm.

So tell me about your build.

I only knew because my dealer informed me yesterday via email, he's been great about keeping me up to date. Other than asking your dealer, I don't think there's any other way for the consumer to find out. Prior to that he told me that depending on the options you get and the amount of backlog they may have at the processing center, the VPC work could take anywhere from 2-4 days (again on average for the Baltimore center). Hopefully yours will be quick.

Sounds like a good dealer (is there really such a thing?) anyway - I have called the Genius (really?) and he has no record of it landing at port. But the Genius didnt know it had left port in South Africa til a week after it had been at sea so I don't believe anything the Genius says. I think I'll give my SA an email - see what he knows. Anyway good luck and Congrats again.

still on track for pick up in a couple days?

curious that it took so long from work order being closed to being shipped or arriving at dealer? genius folk are saying once my work order is closed it will ship same day and arrive at dealer next day and we are similarly local to VPC. excited to see photos of your new ride!

Nah man unfortunately nothing yet. My dealer has been great about staying on top of the shipping too so he'll definitely let me know. Agree it seems to be a quick turn after the VPC order is finished. For some reason the trucking company is slowing things down it seems, odd too as my dealership is closest to the Port. I may have to wait till late next week to pick it up as I have to travel for work early next...

I did however schedule a CQuartz detail appt though a few weeks out!

awesome that it's still close. and there seems to be four or five of us within a week or picking our 340s up which is great to read and eager to see build threads go up!

who are you doing the ceramic coating with? i'm thinking along the same lines with protecting it and all set up with raja once I take delivery.

ok so NEW update is car is coming sooner than estimated yesterday!

new info states:
03.10 ordered vehicle
03.12 went into production, VIN provided and production number
03.27 finished production
03.28 transported to port of exit and waiting on shipping assignment
04.05 vessel assigned and shipped aboard "tamerlane"
04.18 arrival @ VPC in baltimore
04.21 VPC work order complete, on trailer, and en route to dealer
04.24 arrival at dealer

basically cut a whole week off of the work order schedule over night. if true, that's awesome.

that's just about six weeks for custom build - not too shabby!
